Our tour guide recommended Trattoria Da Primo during our visit to Burano—and we are so glad we took her advice. This charming spot, which is lovingly run by a small family, was an absolute highlight of our time in Italy. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional—genuine, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was relaxed and authentic, and it felt like we had discovered a local gem. As for the food—it was hands down the best meal we had during our entire trip to Italy. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care and tradition in every bite. If you’re anywhere near Burano, do yourself a favor and make time for lunch (or dinner) here. Trattoria Da Primo is a true treasure.

Lasagna and Carbonara are great

Nice food, atmospheric space, helpful staff and prices that are normal for Burano.

What a wonderful experience! We were recommended by our hotel, and we have no regrets. The restaurant is traditional, with fresh produce. Their specialty is risotto, and it was delicious. We were also able to try the soft-shell crabs, a very surprising lagoon specialty (a little pricey, but that's normal given the rarity of the product). The service is attentive. We will be happy to return.

After a week in Italy (Milan and Venice), this was the best restaurant we have been to. Restaurant run by a couple and their three daughters. Unbeatable treatment and service and very good food (extensive menu with typical Italian food and seafood specialties). Very reasonable price for quality of the place. If we return to Venice or Burano, we will definitely repeat.

Siamo stati a pranzo in questo locale a conduzione familiare dove la gentilezza e l'accoglienza e la qualita della materia prima sono all'ordine del giorno. I piatti da noi scelti sono stati accompagnati dalla storia di ognuno di essi, a iniziare dall'antipasto per finire con il dolce. Abbiamo gustato l'antipasto di pesce bollito della casa, le moeche, superbe, il risotto di "go" tipico del posto e i buranei con il mascarpone...ed essendo io intollerante al lattosio ho mangiato dei biscotti farciti senza lattosio. Una bella scoperta e davvero consigliatissimo per chi ama la buona cucina. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

The perfect place to eat in Burano. Sunshine, Apero, fantastic food and equally good service - efficient and very friendly. The tagliatelle with shrimp and mushrooms was perfect, as was the spaghetti with seafood. Highly recommended.
