The atmosphere is that of a wholesome trattoria of yesteryear, but unfortunately the prices have caught up with modern times. The tordelli are good, but the meat-based main courses are unfortunately dominated by the ubiquitous steak. Portions are average. Service is quick, perhaps even a little too quick.

A very informal but, all in all, pleasant restaurant. Excellent home-cooked food and good wine. Friendly staff. The lady serving tables is excellent, and despite the crowds, she's quick and attentive. Congratulations!

A traditional place to eat good home-cooked food. Everything was excellent. We were a group of friends craving both land and sea, and they successfully fulfilled our desires. Good food and generous portions, reasonably priced. We all had a first course, some land and some sea, a slice of steak with chips; dessert for everyone, and some coffees and liqueurs. A place that could become a must-visit every time you come to this area. I definitely recommend it...just don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior...the real beauty comes when you sit down at the table.

A real gem near the center of Massa. Amazing dishes, one of the best tagliata I've ever had, and incredibly friendly staff! Excellent value. Highly recommended!

06/01/2026: A restaurant in the hinterland with a beautiful sea view. The meat, cooked over a fireplace in the dining room, is excellent. I had a sliced ​​beef steak with baked potatoes, which was very good. I recommend booking. Convenient parking.
30/11/2025: A wonderful evening spent enjoying good food and fun. Thanks to all the staff at "La Fortezza"—so kind and professional. Entertainment was provided by Simone with his rousing karaoke. See you next time.

The staff was helpful and attentive without being intrusive, something that's not always the case these days. The cuisine is authentic, with well-presented dishes and balanced portions. Good-quality ingredients, clear flavors without being overbearing, ideal for both a quick lunch or a more relaxed break. Prices are in line with the area and fair for what's offered. Overall, a reliable place, one I'd happily return to if I'm passing through Carrara and looking for something casual yet refined.
