We finally found the real Tuscany in Montecatini. It was our salvation. Everything was excellent and what can we say about the home-made French fries, which are hard to find when you go out to eat

In this typical Tuscan trattoria I found an authentic and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying real local cuisine. The food was simply delicious, but the real star was the Fiorentina: cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, an experience to remember. Generous portions, friendly service and good value for money. Absolutely recommended!

Situated in a run-down part of town, we had high hopes based on the reviews. However, we were disappointed by the quality of the food throughout the meal. The sharing board was sweaty and bland, though a couple of the meats were nice. The pastas were ok but the wild boar was dry and under seasoned. The fries were ok but the steak was overcooked and salad was not fresh enough. You can eat much better food elsewhere.

We stopped by chance and we were very lucky, we ate delicious Tuscan dishes: a nice appetizer from Gina with cured meats and cheeses accompanied by jam and honey, pici in wild boar sauce and handmade pappardelle with beef sauce, two glasses of wine. The guy who served us was kind and empathetic, too bad we were continuing our journey and couldn't get heavy but, I marked it in my favorite places.
