While visiting this area, after a tourist trip, the guide recommended this restaurant to us, and we went. I must say that I immediately liked the place, especially the exterior. I ordered a fish-based second course, which was very good and tasty. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were very friendly. I was satisfied.

After the boat ride on the Mincio, we went to Trattoria da Claudio for a traditional meal. A tasty appetizer accompanied by breadsticks, schiacciata mantovana, and their mustard. The first course was phenomenal: riso alla pilota and pumpkin tortelli (with amaretto). For dessert, we had the sbrisolona with zabaglione, which was delicious. The dough had a hint of spice (perhaps fennel, but we forgot to ask) and the brioche with cremino. Dogs were welcome.

Wonderful experience! The restaurant was recommended to us the day before during a hike in the Mincio Valleys, and I must say we were not disappointed. The service is attentive and friendly, and the baked goods and pasta are homemade. Being Friulians, we wanted to try typical Mantuan dishes like agnoli, risotto alla pilota, and pike. Everything was delicious! They even gave us some complimentary sbrisolona biscuits! If we have the chance, we will definitely return. Congratulations!

I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant and was truly thrilled.
The dishes were simply excellent: the risotto with artichokes and pecorino was creamy, perfectly balanced in flavor, and truly refined. The Fassona beef carpaccio was also of the highest quality, incredibly fresh, and prepared with great care.
The attention to the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen are clearly evident.
The service was impeccable: the staff were kind, helpful, and professional.
A truly pleasant experience in every way. I will definitely return and highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, I can only give 3 stars, and only for one reason: we tourists didn't know that Amaretto is added as a "spice" to the famous pumpkin pastries. It wasn't mentioned on the menu, nor was it pointed out when we ordered. The children didn't want to eat it, and some of the adults didn't either. The quality was certainly excellent, but I'm disappointed that it wasn't made clear that this gives the filling a very distinctive, sweet flavor. It's simply not for everyone. 04/04/26

We had lunch at this restaurant. Everything was excellent, from the food to the service to the ambiance.
Claudio was a friendly presence in the dining room.
Today he showed a cooking demonstration on tagliatelle pasta.
Well done everyone.
We'll be back.
