This seafood restaurant is highly recommended online and by acquaintances, but it's a bit overrated. The appetizers were plentiful, but, aside from the octopus, they were mediocre. The tomato flavor of the fregola pasta overpowered the seafood. The service was quick, but the interior was very crowded and noisy.

Let's be clear: trattoria means "simple," which is very different from "sloppy" or, worse, "sloppy." So, at Angelo's, we have a simple but clean place with friendly, smiling staff. The menu features a few dishes based on the available catch, all extremely fresh and cooked with passion. The menu features a few labels, but quality ones, obviously local. Well done!

It feels like being at home... it's like having Sardinian relatives welcoming you with a fantastic seafood dinner. If you're staying in the area, book here in advance... at least for a couple of nights... elsewhere you might just find it worse and spend a lot more. Trust me 😉

Just go there. Order the antipasti selection and ask for the raw seafood. We had the freshest and most beautifully seasoned raw scampi. The fresh fish, grilled or with potatoes and saffron, is also excellent. The atmosphere is like a true trattoria, with friendly service.

For years, we've been trying to get a table at the highly acclaimed Da Angelo in Domus de Maria – to no avail. So, we were all the more delighted when we spontaneously showed up without a reservation on a Saturday evening (August!) and got a table right away! We can only say: all the good things we'd heard about Da Angelo, especially from Sardinian recommendations, were absolutely true! Very, very tasty fish dishes, top quality, great service, completely reasonable prices – wow! It was fantastic and I definitely recommend it (even if it's a bit of a hassle to get in – definitely try it). 02/11/2025: Delicious food, clean and welcoming room. The staff was wonderful! Arriving and feeling at home! Something unique! There's also a family museum (an old, wealthy local family. Very old objects that bring those historical periods to life).
27/10/2025: A truly positive experience, the place deserves to be visited at least once in a lifetime. The friendliness and kindness are top priority, the breakfast and dinner were amazing, the food top-notch, authentic and made with local ingredients. The lovely Monica and the girls made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

04/10/2025: Family dinner. Very nice and welcoming restaurant with an outdoor seating area on the picturesque and famous Piazza Galilei. The owner Franco and his staff were very kind and attentive to our needs, as there were two vegetarians. Excellent seafood dishes, from appetizers to first courses and fried calamari, with a wide selection of wines. As soon as I return to Cagliari, I will definitely return. 24/09/2025: A small but welcoming place, with very friendly staff. The food was good and plentiful. We ordered the parcel, which was tasty, but we expected a little more seafood, which was very sparse. We expect it to improve next time.
