Typical Brescian food. Excellent casoncelli. Even the traditional cutlets. The new owners have maintained this place's tradition: friendliness and hospitality. Not to be missed.

The place has its own unique charm, and I really like it.
The menu is traditional and very well-crafted.
Out of friendliness, I'd also give the service 5 stars, even if it wasn't exactly impeccable.
In fact, after lunch... we waited quite a while with empty plates in front of us, waiting to be asked for dessert or coffee.
However, that detail aside, I think I'll be back... especially for the legendary "elephant ear" cutlet.

I went there on a friend's recommendation. The cutlet was so big it overflowed the plate. It was delicious and flavorful. The owner was kind and helpful. I really liked the unique atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

The owner, Nicola, is the best! Super traditional and welcoming place, delicious and plentiful food, fair prices... highly recommended!
I tried the menu and was very satisfied. The dishes were really good: the elephant ear pasta was excellent, and the casoncelli with pumpkin were also very successful. The food is good and tasty. The location is simple but honest, without any great pretensions. Overall, a place you'll gladly return to.

A truly fantastic experience at Corto Maltese! The ambiance is the only small thing that could be improved, but it certainly didn't detract from the overall experience, as everything else was excellent. The cutlet was delicious, tender and flavorful, but the real treat was the chocolate salami: I haven't had it this good in years! The cuisine was top-quality and the flavors are memorable. I'll definitely be back.

A historic Brescia trattoria serving traditional local dishes. The atmosphere retains the charm of the past. The staff is friendly and attentive. Good food, but as the sign says, "If you're in a hurry, don't order the cutlet." That's exactly what happened. Prices are reasonable, but not quite like a trattoria.
