Cozy place, with incredibly delicious food. Simple menu, but sophisticated. They serve the food extremely quickly

Incredible, family-owned (I’d say) and excellent location (but yet somehow it does not feel it’s right in the centre?). Loved it, grazie mille!

Unfortunately, despite the friendly staff, the food definitely wasn't worth the price. A bruschetta made with soggy bread that fell apart as soon as you tried to lift it, burrata that looked like it had just come out of the freezer... The table settings were embarrassing, to say the least; you'd have to have played Tetris forever to be able to get up and go to the bathroom...

They don't accept card payments, only cash.

We had a wonderful experience at Chiribiri Restaurant in San Gimignano! The owner is incredibly attentive and funny, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and the place itself is cozy and full of charm. It was the perfect cherry on top of an extraordinary day in San Gimignano. Highly recommended!

A small family restaurant with an authentic Italian flavor. Unconventional, delicious food at a great price. Definitely a hidden gem in San Gimignano.

5-day trip today, October 13, 2025, 5 people, visit to the medieval village of San Gimignano. I was struck by the name of the tavern, so we took a look, but my thoughts kept coming back to Chiribiri. We had all the expectations. It was time to order: a great appetizer and 2 pappardelle with wild boar ragù; 2 pappardelle with speck, zucchini, and saffron; 1 rigatoni with wild boar sausage sauce; a bottle of wine; 2 waters; excellent price; friendly service; and a short wait. The staff were friendly and helpful, but upon our arrival, we were offered a table practically next to another table. While it's true that there's limited space, it's also unfair to suggest dining with practically other people at the same table. Overall, the food quality was good, but the preparation didn't match the menu. For example, we ordered bruschetta with oil and garlic because I don't eat tomatoes, but the bruschetta contained tomato sauce that wasn't listed on the menu. Another example: we ordered lemon chicken with potatoes, and what we received was baked chicken with potatoes, or rather, oil and a bit of chicken. Finally, we noticed that the portions of entrees served at other tables were much larger than ours. A final point of terrible taste: we noticed that the tablecloths were used on both sides: basically, after the table is cleared, they're turned over to be reused.

This family-run trattoria serves Italian home-style cuisine. The food is simple, hearty, and delicious.
