I went there on my birthday. A quaint place just a few kilometers from Salsomaggiore. The owner makes you feel at ease right away. From appetizers to dessert to wines, it was an explosion of tastes, flavors, and aromas. Highly recommended.

I'm a loyal customer. Antonio is an excellent restaurateur who always makes his guests feel at home. The cuisine is excellent and fully reflects the quality of the products offered. For my personal taste, the special porcini mushrooms are a real treat, a true delight. The wine list is excellent and varied. It's now a regular stop for me and my customers. An excellent location for a romantic evening or for larger groups. Ideal for anyone who appreciates cuisine focused on local produce and meat.

I have Sicilian relatives who live in Germany... and when they come down they stop at my place in Salso... and they want to eat torta fritta... over the years I've bought it everywhere. But the one that makes ceriati is unbeatable... the best torta fritta... and also the parmesan cream... which is not cut with cream but is parmesan cream... they are the number 1...

We visited this trattoria on a summer evening, high in the hills of Salso. I rate it excellent, among the best trattorias in the entire Emilia-Romagna region. Starting with the torta fritta and mixed cured meats, fried polenta with lard, sautéed mushrooms and fried porcini mushrooms, mezzelune pasta with truffles, tagliatelle with meat sauce, and finally tiramisu and coconut semifreddo. The house wine was good. The staff was friendly and quick. We just met you and we're confident we'll always find the same passion and quality in providing the best local flavors. See you next time!

We had a truly wonderful time, and credit goes to the young waiter who served us. Kind, smiling, and always available, he immediately made us feel at ease. Despite his young age, he was very professional and attentive to every detail. He was able to advise us on the menu and handled everything with great calm and friendliness. Moreover, even though I'm Indian, he made me feel at home. He was welcoming and respectful, with a warm demeanor that isn't always expected. You could tell he was passionate about what he does.

Capitati per caso, bellissimo posto per una cena a due ma anche per tavolate di amici. Il personale è disponibile e gentile, ogni piatto una bontà, quello che io chiamo volgarmente spezzatino di maiale si è rilevato una delizia per il palato, la carne si scioglieva letteralmente in bocca... alla fine avremmo voluto fare personalmente i complimenti al cuoco ma era impegnato. 13/08/2025: When we travel in the area, it's become a must-visit. Excellent selection of Parma ham and mountain Parmigiano Reggiano. The first courses and desserts are also delicious. Everything is made according to tradition. It's a pleasure to spend some time with the Ugolotti family, who passionately explain their products.
02/08/2025: We ordered platters of cured meats and cheeses, polenta, and torta fritta. The first words that come to mind are "what a spectacle, a riot of flavors!" We ate REAL prosciutto cured for 34 months (the Parma is actually from Langhirano)!! The salami was also delicious. Not to mention the 40-month-aged parmesan. A very good and truly enjoyable lunch with the owner, who shared his story with us. If you're in the Parma and castle area, stop by—you won't be disappointed.

30/08/2025: What can I say? A unique place that has spawned imitations within a 100km radius, yet remains inimitable. A delicatessen serving lunch and dinner, featuring cured meats, cheeses, and sauces, with wine in a bowl—no cutlery required. Excellent desserts and local alcoholic digestifs. All immersed in a Verdi-inspired atmosphere, with objects and music. Smiles, friendliness, and quality. Reservations are required.
