Excellent trattoria in the historic center of Catania.
Simple dishes, limited choice, but all good quality, fish (fabulous fried anchovies) and pasta alla norma highly recommended.
Desserts are also good.
Absolutely honest price.

Our waiter Pitto was amazing and very attentive, anticipating our needs throughout the meal without being intrusive. The food was absolutely amazing - every dish arrived beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The overall service was so good that I felt genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest from the moment I arrived until departure. Perhaps most impressive was the pricing, which was amazingly reasonable considering the exceptional quality of both the cuisine and service. This establishment has certainly earned a permanent place among my favorite dining destinations.

This was an incredible restaurant with even better service. From the second we walked in we were treated like family and even learned some new Italian phrases. We were treated to some complimentary appetizers from our waiter, and he even came out to hand pipe the cannolis table side. I couldn’t recommend this destination enough me and my friends went 2 nights out of the 4 we were here and we would’ve gone again if they were open.

Il nome è appropriato: locale semplice, un po’ datato come stile ma ben tenuto, accogliente, con un servizio gentile. Ampia scelta di piatti tipici siciliani, ben cotti e buoni, serviti in maniera semplice senza elaborazioni particolari, raffinatezze o modernità. Qui si va sulla sostanza e sul sicuro. Prezzi tutto sommato modici rispetto ai piatti serviti. Io provo un piatto di cozze al vapore, del pesce spada alla griglia. Con un quartino di vino bianco della Casa, un’acqua minerale ed il coperto spendo poco più di 25 euro. In pieno centro, consigliato.

Tornata dopo tanti anni, il signor Nino è una vera istituzione, un putiaro di antica fama. Il posto piccolo e pulito, la cucina tradizionale, gli stranieri lo adorano.
Consigliata pasta al nero, tonnina con cipolle e polpette
