Excellent fixed price menu restaurant

A very popular restaurant and this fact already indicates an excellent quality/price ratio. Friendly and quick staff, simple but familiar and welcoming environment. I went there for work and it was a great choice (better to book).

I had better memories of this restaurant located a few steps from Marconi airport, in Calderara di Reno. I had booked, but at the time we arrived we would have eaten even without a reservation. Old location, but very pretty and with ample outdoor parking. Non-paper menu, but the waiter comes by to display the dishes. I remembered having tried Gramigna in the past and I really wanted to eat it. Since the classic one was finished, we took the green one (with spinach) with sausage ragù. For the second course we ordered escalope with mushrooms and strips of beef, accompanied with sautéed chicory and buttered spinach. Unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with the gramigna, maybe it was because I preferred the other one or because the sausage ragout was really a splash, very poor. The main courses and side dishes were good, the portions were right. As bread they brought a bag with two sandwiches, not exactly fresh. Terrible bread. To drink water and 1/4 of house red wine and finally 2 coffees. The strong point is the price, in fact the actual cost is around €35. In essence it is a restaurant with good value for money; I just remembered eating much better several years ago. I forgot, on the table we found a basket of breadsticks, the very good ones.

Restaurant open only at midday, excellent quality/price ratio. A first course, a side dish and a quarter of wine for 13 euros. Quick and courteous service. Highly recommended!
