Wow! A place stuck in time, where everything feels simple and familiar, but with great attention to the decor, service, and customer service, and the incredibly kind staff.
The traditional dishes are very good, and it's worth sampling and sharing a little of everything.
Parking is fairly convenient on the street right next to the restaurant.
Reservations are absolutely essential on weekends.

The place is cute, historic, and has potential. The quality of the appetizers, first courses, and main courses is excellent. The house wine is good. The desserts need some work. The portions for the first courses are adequate, but more could be done for the appetizers and main courses, at the cost of raising the price by €1 or €2 per portion. The desserts are a sore point. We were the first table of the evening, and it's impossible to have finished the courses, or even nearly finished them. The dining room needs work, with greater care and empathy for the customers, and a few more smiles.
I'm sure it was a bad night.

La Bottega delle Casellina welcomed us as if we were visiting a relative.
Unique in its kind.
The girls were all very kind and smiling.
The excellent food is served in traditional Tuscan coccini (pots) or small pans that allow it to be eaten hot. Very fresh vegetables.
We ordered
- tagliatelle with wild boar
- pappardelle with wild boar
- pici alla nana
- tomato and leek meatballs (melt in your mouth)
- various side dishes, both seasoned, sautéed, and fried
All very good, including the bread.
The price was good for the quality.

A rustic trattoria where you can enjoy Tuscan specialties, hearty and tasty dishes. Homemade pasta. Informal and welcoming atmosphere. Everything I look for when I try a new place on a day trip.

The place is a bit dated; we ate outside, and the seating is practically on the street, though there aren't many cars. The food wasn't bad, though the selection is limited. Especially today, the tomatoes were out, the liter of water was out, the cold cuts hadn't arrived, and the tortelli weren't available, so we had to settle for less...
By the way, they offered us Tuscan crostini with cold cuts, but then only the prosciutto arrived, and the mortadella they were supposed to serve us, which never arrived, was also sold out. Average price: an appetizer and a first course cost €22.

I rarely give 5 stars, but this place deserves them. The restaurant, with its mostly female staff, is a gem; small but well-organized. The food is out of this world, beautifully presented, and with distinct flavors. They make their own bread, and... The only flaw? The tiramisu is made with cream, but we can overlook that. Highly recommended; the 16 of us had a spectacular meal!

Dopo anni, la qualità non è cambiata ed è sempre eccellente. Antipasti migliorabili, il resto OK. L'accoglienza è migliorata molto, la vecchia gestione era "stanca", dicevano spesso che non c'era posto, ma non era vero. Riuscivo a prenotare molto raramente. Una delle poche "locande con cucina" sopravvissute in Toscana.
