The bistro is a tranquil escape from the chaos of city life, embodying the essence of a truly slow-paced lifestyle. If you're in the area, it's the perfect place to savor traditional Calabrian cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients.
The hostess, La Signora, the waitress was incredibly kind to us. After seating us at the table, she promptly offered some delightful bread, including a spicy bread with peperoncino. The restaurant has only five tables, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance.
The antipasto is a must-try, featuring a selection of typical dishes that allow you to enjoy a variety of delicious flavors. We decided to go straight to the second course, but the pasta and first course options looked so tempting that we couldn't resist ordering a bowl of pasta and fagioli.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back. Bravi!

We ate well, although some dishes seemed bland (but perhaps that's part of Calabrian culinary culture). The welcome was warm, although the chef's (he prefers to be called that) temper tantrum over an incident that occurred shortly before our order meant that the gnocchi ordered for my son left a lot to be desired... 🤷♀️🤦♀️

The atmosphere was rustic and welcoming, accompanied by light jazz music. I chose the fish menu, and I must say the dishes were very good and well-prepared, despite their specialty being meat. Unfortunately, the accompanying wine didn't taste good. Dessert wasn't bad: I had mini babas, but the egg flavor was too strong; however, the fig honey (homemade by the chef) that covered it was delicious. The staff was kind and friendly, although the salad I ordered, which had asked for chopped garlic, was instead replaced with garlic oil, at the chef's discretion.
The price was definitely fair for the quality.

As soon as we entered, we felt right at home, like family.
The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and very friendly... so much so that we stayed talking for over half an hour after dinner.
A quaint, well-maintained, and well-kept restaurant.
The food was truly delicious. We started with the mixed antipasto (which includes about 10-12 courses) of typical Calabrian dishes. The meatballs, potatoes, and peppers (like grandma's) and the potato tart with 'nduja (sausage) particularly stood out.
For our first course, we decided to try the tagliatelle with mushrooms, which was truly fresh and tasty, but the gnocchi with 'nduja and caciocavallo were on another level.
Highly recommended for savoring traditional dishes and, above all, excellent local ingredients.

We went with a group of friends to try this highly renowned trattoria to discover the true, authentic flavors of Calabria, and we couldn't have made a better choice!
La Cantina – da Patrizia is a historic restaurant with 56 years of experience. The atmosphere is simple and familiar, and you'll feel right at home.
We sampled about 12-13 different appetizers, including:
Sautéed vegetables;
Rice supplì, both plain and with sauce;
Polenta with 'nduja sauce, just the right amount of spicy;
Bruised olives with salad;
Potatoes with mushrooms.
All authentic, genuine flavors, no frills.
Among the first courses, I'd particularly like to highlight two that truly struck a chord:
Tagliatelle with zucchini flowers and crumbled white sausage: delicate, fragrant, and rich in flavor;
Gnocchi with 'nduja and caciocavallo: creamy, perfectly spicy, with an intense, 100% Calabrian flavor.
Everything is freshly prepared, using local ingredients and respecting home cooking.
The place is simple, rustic, and authentic. No show, but plenty of substance.
The bill? A surprise! Fair prices, generous portions, high quality.
I recommend booking, especially if you're going on the weekend.
We'll definitely be back.
Thanks Patrizia and Beppe, keep up the good work!

Restaurant with true Calabrian flavors of excellent quality.
Truly fantastic appetizers, #1!
Perfect service followed by Mrs. Patrizia, a kind and thoughtful person.
The environment and the homely atmosphere immediately put us at ease.
The final aniseed digestive, which was offered to us, was delicious and perfect after tasting dozens of delicious dishes.
The perfect bill, 50 euros for two.
Very good, we will be back!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You can't miss lunch or dinner at Patrizia! My husband and I, passing through Corigliano for work, discovered Patrizia's bistro last night... it was a spectacular dinner! We let Patrizia, a wonderful hostess, advise us and every dish of the sumptuous and abundant appetizer was delicious! An excellent wine and Patrizia who told us the provenance, strictly local and carefully controlled, of every ingredient. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
