A small trattoria in the middle of Merano. The ambience is a little more comfortable than Peter Fox's (“neon lights and plastic chairs”), but that's not the deciding factor: very warm hosts in a very familiar atmosphere and really sensational cuisine!!! Strong recommendation! Please go and enjoy.

Super delicious Italian food! To be honest, I'm still raving about it 🤩.
We barely managed to get a table for two at lunchtime without a reservation. The restaurant was very busy - especially with Italians/South Tyroleans, which speaks highly of the restaurant ;-)
Reservations in advance are highly recommended, especially in the evening!
It was the best meal I had on vacation! Orchiette with broccoli - a dream! And then the tiramisu for dessert! World class! Every spoonful is a pleasure!
Super warm hosts too! We felt at home & will definitely come back! Price/performance was also great. For two main courses, 2 drinks, 2 coffees and 1 dessert we paid just under €50.
The Trattoria Mainardo is really highly recommended!!

We went there for lunch after making a reservation by telephone.
The service was very warm, super child-friendly and personal. The food was excellent, we couldn't decide because everything sounded so delicious.
The dumplings and the asparagus lasagne were delicious! The final espresso as well.
We will definitely come back and can 100% recommend Trattoria Mainardo.

Very nice hostess who served us a very tasty dinner. We had a lasagne with salsiccia and poccheri with veal ragout and asparagus. Both to recommend. The tiramisu at the end was also very tasty. Would come again.

We were passing through and needed to have lunch. One of the only places that "inspired" us. Never was a more appropriate choice. Excellent hospitality and service both from the always smiling girl at the counter and from the owner of the restaurant (at least I think so). Excellent tagliatelle with venison ragù and gnocchi. The desserts are also really delicious.

Nahe am Stadtzentrum befindet sich dieses Restaurant. Die Familie, die es führt, zeichnet sich durch Freundlichkeit und unaufdringliches Engagement aus. Das Essen ist fein angerichtet und schmeckt herrlich. Die Desserts stehen nicht auf der Karte - unbedingt danach fragen, denn die Chefin variiert das selbst gemachte Angebot täglich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
