Naive place but stratospheric cuisine The crecentina is excellent, the only appetizer, the first courses are excellent: tagliatelle with ham, tortellini in broth and gramigna with sausage (the gramigna is long) The zuppa inglese is top. The rice cake is a little less so, dry but not bad. The price is the icing on the cake. The whole thing is made even more enjoyable by the service of the young waiters

Simply Bologna inside a place that between the environment and the cuisine takes you pleasantly back in time. I left Bologna for work, but every time I return the autotreno is one of the fixed stops. Sometimes it is difficult to book, I recommend always doing it in advance.

Il locale è a 50 metri dalla via Emilia e oltre mezzo secolo fa, quando non c'era la tangenziale autostradale intorno a Bologna, per andare da Milano a Rimini, anche i camion passavano di qua. Forse questo spiega il nome, incomprensibile oggi per una trattoria che ora è quasi centrale. D'altra parte, il mondo tutt'intorno gli è cambiato, ma l'Autotreno no. Si comincia con una crescentina (gnocco) fritta con prosciutto, poi si passa alla tagliatella, considerata una delle migliori nella provincia di Bologna + gli altri primi della tradizione e i secondi, a cominciare dalla cotoletta alla bolognese. Piatti abbondanti, da camionisti, e prezzi popolari. E forza Bologna!

Erg leuk restaurant, prima bediening!! Mina, die ons bediende gaf ons excellent advies over wat wij moesten eten. Welk advies wij direct overnamen. Onze conclusie was erg lekkere tagliatelle met regut. Zelf vond ik hem iets te hard en wat te mager qua vlees. Leuk lekkere verrassing als toetje, dus prima!

21/07/2025: An old Bolognese trattoria, simple but authentic.
16/07/2025: First time at this restaurant, on a Wednesday evening, with very few other people besides our table. The food was really good; we had mixed appetizers, two first courses (excellent lasagna), a selection of desserts, and two bottles of wine for five people, all for €35. For the quality of the food, it was super reasonable. I'll be back!
