we booked a table for two the day before, as soon as we arrived they immediately welcomed us and made us sit down, bringing us a bottle of water of our choice between sparkling or still. excellent service and killer dishes as they say! everything was delicious, I will definitely be back. very honest prices for the quality and quantity of food served

Having already come twice for meat and adequate wine (there are some nice labels), remaining satisfied, we will return to taste the rest. The only "flaw", with the cantucci (are they cantucci?) you need a "real" vin santo. Having frequented all the provinces of Tuscany for more than 30 years, having tasted excellence... I missed it, a serious one would have made me "catapult" my mind into the extraordinary beauty of those places where "like a song the wind carries you, you experience everything sweetly", forgetting for an interminable moment that you are in Ferrara. Anyway good

Questo ristorante è un luogo caratteristico dove si mangia molto bene. La fiorentina è davvero buona, così come le patate. Il personale è gentile e il servizio attento. Sicuramente una meta da tenere in considerazione.

Rapporto qualità prezzo medio basso. Da un ristorante toscano mi aspettavo soprattutto crostini con fegatini, che sono i più buoni, invece qualche crostino di cui un quinto con fegatini, il resto con olio, con melanzane, con pomodori, e con due sottilette fuse sopra, o qualcosa di molto simile. Mah..... Poi filetto discreto grande, ma da 29 euro. Spese 52 con poche bottiglie di vino modesto. Caffè e acqua, nessun dolce. Tavoli appiccicati uno all'altro. Insomma....

04/05/2025: Very welcoming place, really great food! I ordered a plate of cured meats (really plentiful) for 2 people and the pumpkin cappellacci seasoned with sage.... Exceptional! I recommend it!
27/04/2025: Ferrara has a restaurant where eating also becomes an experience to be shared with everyone present thanks to the owner and his son Frisko who entertain guests with Italian music played masterfully by the guitarists Firsko and dad. Excellent food, family atmosphere and very warm. Well done everyone

L'Osteria dal 1997

12/05/2025: Characteristic place with beautiful and comfortable rooms, a sort of luxurious ancient cellar with arches, where you can breathe the care and dedication that "the NEW management" gives to its place. Excellent cuisine with tasty and quality dishes, well presented both meat and fish; and I cannot fail to mention the excellent and vast selection of wines. Very kind, friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend.
11/05/2025: Really very kind and professional. High quality food and right portions. Value for money absolutely in line for being in the historic center. The relaxing atmosphere even though we were in the flow of Sunday lunch.
