Wonderful food. Simple, affordable and extremely tasteful with quality ingredients. Filled with locals, definitely not a tourist trap. Regardless service was amazing. The waitress had great recommandations for us and showed great patience with my attempts to use the 3 words of Italian I know.
We had the tortelloni with prosciutto, the lasagnas and the mushroom scallopine ai funghi.
Loved having the ability to share entrees and have them split on our plate.
10/10 would go again

We went here, late into our Bologna trip, with a party of people who had largely been to Bologna before. We just found this place on Google maps because it's close to the Santuario Madonna di San Luca
This is undoubtedly the best dining experience we've had in this city. Exceptional food, some of the best house red anyone has ever had, great service, low-key family-run restaurant vibe, and extremely good value.
Absolutely cannot recommend more highly enough. Utterly delicious food, plenty of vegetarian options (and for the meat eaters too). Everyone agreed we need to come back!

A locals place that is happy to serve tourists if you try speaking a little Italian. Mara was the friendliest server we encountered in all of Italy. Well worth the walk.

We loved our meal here. Thankfully, it was mere metres from our apartment, so we might have missed it.
A lovely, bright restaurant with a friendly, warm welcome. We were shown straight to the table. (We found Italians in all hospitality to be warm and friendly. Being Irish, we can relate to this).
Lovely pasta (wish is was hotter) which we shared. Pasta portions in Italy are HUGE! My wonderful wife has delicious tender rare beef and I had a monster veal escalope. Both were delicious.
The wine was, as is usual with Italian wines, perfect. It wasn't expensive at all and in Ireland this would be €30, or more!

First time for lunch in Zaragoza with my husband. What can I say, everything excellent, the cotoletta alla bolognese sublime. Pignoletto on tap very good. Courteous and fast service. We will definitely be back.

Trattoria Amodeo is a little gem in the heart of Bologna. The place is simple, welcoming and well-kept in a rustic style that immediately puts you at ease. The food is truly excellent: we tried tortellini al pasticcio and tortelloni burro e salvia, both made to perfection and full of flavor. The pasta is certainly very good. The prices are fair, the service is friendly and the quiet atmosphere makes the experience even more pleasant. An authentic place, without frills, where you eat well. Highly recommended!

In zona all'ora di pranzo ci siamo imbattuti in questa che poi abbiamo scoperto essere una storica Trattoria di Bologna. In effetti la frequentazione di clienti locali già era un indizio. Ci siamo accomodati nell'unico tavolo all'aperto sotto i portici che poi era anche l'ultimo posto libero. Che dire, abbiamo mangiato bene e speso il giusto.

Situato verso la fine di Via Saragozza, nella sua parte entro le mura di corconvallazione, questa piccolo storico ristorante, rappresenta uno dei caposaldi della tradizione popolare della gastronomia bolognese. Aperto tutti i giorni, escluso la domenica, questa trattoria propone i classici del capoluogo emiliano. Tra questi spiccano quasi tutti i primi, anche se per i condimenti, si fa uso spesso. anche dell'aggiunta della panna come addensante, in stile anni 80/90. Non il massimo. Ottimi i tortelloni con i vari sughi, ma da provare ci sono anche la gramigna alla salsiccia e, ovviamente, i tortellini. Generose le quantità proposte.
Per quanto riguarda i secondi e i relativi contorni, meno esaltanti, troviamo la classica cotoletta alla bolognese o alla milanese e le varie carni come la tagliata.
Personale attento e gentile e locale molto pulito.
Per quanto riguarda il rapporto qualità/prezzo, è più che sufficiente in generale, anche se i prezzi dei secondi sono molto meno vantaggiosi rispetto a quelli dei primi.
Nelle giornata di mercoledì, giovedì e venerdì, vengono proposti anche menù di pesce.
