Trattoria alla Colonna In Verona

Trattoria in the center of Verona, which I highly recommend. If you are looking for a local place, with local cuisine, honest prices and a beautiful homely atmosphere, this is the place for you. I was alone, on a pleasure trip. I was looking for a place like this, I was captivated by the brown-scale checkered tablecloths. I had a bruschetta as an appetizer, very large and good, a first course of bigoli (thick spaghetti pasta) with musso (donkey), delicious. A side of mixed salad that was just right. At that point, very full, I had a coffee (very good) and a grappa to digest everything. Water and half a liter of red wine, to enjoy lunch, completed the work. I was absolutely satisfied, I will definitely remember this trattoria in Verona, and I will return. Service up to par, kindness and education. Very good. All this for "only" 35 euros.

The cutlets are top but you can't wait an hour and a half to have dinner.

Restaurant near Romeo's House, very large and spacious. The 'small' cutlets are HUGE! Unfortunately we also ordered the side dish and it was a mistake because a 'small' cutlet already fills you up enough. The two of us spent less than 50 euros getting 2 cutlets, 2 side dishes, 2 coffees and water.

We learned about this restaurant through videos on YouTube. So we thought in advance and booked two/three days in advance, because as it was the Saturday before Easter it would certainly have been full. We discovered that there are two shifts for lunch: one at 12.00 and the other at 1.00. We were very satisfied: the dishes ordered (bigoli with donkey ragù, gnocchi, rabbit, liver, the legendary mega cutlet) all very good, quality, fresh raw materials. The service is quite quick. The prices are quite normal, it depends on what you decide to eat. In Verona I would say that if you want to eat something typical of the place, this restaurant is for you.

Nice discovery… really excellent cutlets

Always exceptional cutlet, perhaps too large, however what is decidedly small is the table, but understandable given the historic place. Small flaw on the bathroom.

Tipica e "calda" trattoria pulita e curata, con accoglienza e servizio veramente cordiali (non cambierebbe nulla ma ricordiamo solo personale femminile), proprio a "due passi due" dalle belle Arche Scaligere e peccato che (siamo stati a Dicembre) abbiano spostato i Mercatini di Natale dalle vicinissime Piazze dei Signori e del Tribunale. Piatti ben fatti e presentati bene ; le porzioni sono generose ...e infatti è stata azzeccata la scelta di optare per la misura "piccola" (!?!) della cotoletta (il piatto che più contraddistingue il locale, servito in diverse varianti di condimento)) con pomodoro, salamino piccante, grana, soprattutto dopo essersi gustati un bel piatto di polenta, soppressa, porcini, grana. Buono il vino rosso della casa, onesto il conto.

Trattoria storica a Verona, famosa per la cotoletta, in più formati, dalla piccola (già di buone dimensioni) alla media, fino ad arrivare alla gigante. Il menù propone varie proposte autoctone ma, come già accennato, le varie versioni di cotoletta la fanno da padrona: più abbinamenti, ma forse la classica di vitello è la migliore, le altre sono tutte di maiale. Il personale è stato gentile e disponibile, sopperendo come meglio poteva ai tempi di attesa che sono stati davvero troppo lunghi; capisco il doppio turno ma iniziare a pranzare dopo le 15:00, avendo prenotato alle 13:45 e dopo più di un'ora di attesa, è troppo, inevitabilmente per far numeri ci rimette il servizio, il doppio turno anche no. I prezzi sono sotto la media del centro storico, in linea al contesto, e con un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Nel complesso buona esperienza tranne l'attesa interminabile che ha inciso sulla valutazione finale.
