You pay for the feeling of local atmosphere and tradition. Food is also ok, but we had better pasta norma in Sicilia.

Aperto solo a pranzo, nel pieno centro di Catania, un ristorante come una volta, le cosiddette putie, un posto alla buona, poco pretenzioso, con piatti semplici della tradizione siciliana, tutto fresco e saporito, prezzi onesti

If you are looking for a historic trattoria, this is the right place... everything is good. Just one note to make, I left there with my clothes smelling of smoke from the embers that are in the next room

Very welcoming and rustic environment, smiling and kind staff, well-cooked traditional food, we recommend second courses of meat and fish for cooking on the charcoal grill.

Great place with homemade food! Very nice and cozy, I felt here like I visit my grandparents. And they have risotto! It’s very rare for Catania

Una trattoria alla buona non adatta a chi cerca privacy e tovaglie di cotone. Servizio gentilissimo, veloce e tranquillo nonostante la grande affluenza. Il signor Aldo e la figlia Orsola ci hanno illustrato e consigliato alcuni piatti. Cucina locale semplice che offre tante specialità di terra e di mare gustose e a prezzi più che ragionevoli. Consigliato per chi non si formalizza e ha voglia di fare un salto in una delle poche trattorie rimaste!

03/01/2025: We went for New Year's Eve lunch, excellent food, fast service with the various dishes, despite the occasion and the place being full of people. I highly recommend it
25/12/2024: We went for Christmas 2024 lunch ..Everything delicious and plentiful. excellent service.. Beautiful location... I recommend it especially to those who want to spend a beautiful day surrounded by nature.... No less the little furry friend who welcomed us outside upon arrival...a very sweet and cuddly dog. the icing on the cake😍
