Traditional trattoria with favourable prices and tasty meals. Opened 12-16 nearby Chiesa Gaetano alle Grotte and marketplace. Offer is wide from simple lunches as pasta and risottos to fishes, meat, salads... Sympathic place and staff is kind and cares well. Grazie

One of the best pastas I've ever tried! An inconspicuous place from the outside, but definitely worth a visit. Bravo!

Unfortunately we discovered that there are a few euros too many on the bill, we shouldn't be mistaken, the price is served on a piece of paper and doesn't specify anything about what you ate.

Amazing restaurant near the fish market! Feels like a welcomed by the whole family! You must must go for their roasted squid, superbly fresh and juicy!

We had lunch at this restaurant during our trip to Catania, on the recommendation of a friend. To reach the restaurant you need to climb the stairs and you find yourself in a very rustic but warm and familiar wooden environment, they sat us near the window where a light breeze allowed us to have lunch in perfect weather. The service was a bit cold, even though the owner at the checkout was very sociable and helpful. We took a small plate of appetizers from the buffet, I absolutely recommend trying it, one dish better than the other with a rich variety of traditional recipes (aubergine parmigiana, fried aubergines, omelette, marinated anchovies, mixed mushrooms, grilled vegetables, dried tomatoes, olives and much more). We shared a pasta alla norma and then had a portion of grilled veal meatballs and a portion of fried calamari. We absolutely recommend getting something grilled, it's their specialty and you can feel it. Unfortunately we were really full but we would have liked to try the mixed or strawberry fruit salad which was really inviting. If you are in Catania don't miss this local trattoria with authentic flavors!!

Authentic place, authentic people and authentic food. The real Sicilian deal. Typical pasta, meats and fish, but specialising in grill. Simple cooking but wow! Furniture is at least 40 years old, so gives an even better feeling! Good value as well.

Nous voulions déjeuner dans un lieu essentiellement fréquenté par des Siciliens Ce restaurant ne se remarque pas de l extérieur car on y mange à l étage Très bonne cuisine familiale dans un restaurant où toute une famille est là pour vous faire découvrir de belles recettes . Très beau buffet d antipasti , de bonnes pâtes ( à l encre de sèche et à la parlermitaine ) et un petit dessert , le tout pour 39 euros à 2 ( boisson , eau minérale ) L ambiance du marché à 2 pas en ce samedi était aussi très intéressante Merci à notre serveuse , la petite fille de la maison qui parle très bien français Petit regret : que l’addition donnée ne soit pas détaillée
