I've eaten at Aldina twice and have always been satisfied. Both times we ordered cured meats, gnocchi, and pasta dishes, and everything was always delicious. I really enjoyed the tagliatelle with ragù, as well as the tortellini in broth. The service is very fast and the waiters are very kind.

The menu selection is great, the quality and quantity of portions generous, service is friendly and the ambience is just like your favourite aunt’s kitchen.

It's great.
I had the veal stew with potatoes and peas - it contained more meat than veggies.
Hard to find the entrance and tables are a bit too close together.

Well-prepared traditional cuisine, generous portions, and fair prices. The only small flaw was the service; we were a bit neglected, and the starters were a bit lacking (Christmas time, that's understandable).
Luckily, our neighbors offered us a baked potato 😅
Despite this, it was a very positive first experience, and I'll gladly return.

A typical Emilian trattoria on the first floor of a building in the center of Modena, across from the historic covered market. The tables are a bit crowded, but the atmosphere is still typical, serving traditional dishes. The boiled meat was good/excellent, with salsa verde and accompanying peppers, although the piece of beef I ordered had a few tough tendons. The helpful waitress let me personally choose the Lambrusco to serve, which was also excellent. The price is currently reasonable, considering we're right in the center. They don't take reservations, so you might not find a table. The bathroom is adequate, but could be improved. Recommended.

A trattoria like those of the past, very simple and rustic, with few frills but plenty of substance. The dishes offered are traditional Emilian dishes, but not limited to them; the dishes we sampled were excellent in flavor and good in quantity. The staff is friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable, considering the location. In a word, EXCELLENT. A historic venue for traditional Modena cuisine. A must-see for those seeking authenticity.
