A delightful restaurant in Colognola ai Colli, nestled in the hills of the Illasi Valley, it features an indoor dining room decorated with copper pots hanging everywhere, and an outdoor terrace, incredibly breezy and therefore enjoyable even on a very hot summer evening.
The cuisine is delicious and interesting; the giardiniera (pickled vegetables) that accompany the cured meats is divine. The service is prompt and courteous, and the prices are more than reasonable.
An excellent place to return to.

I highly recommend it. The dishes are well-prepared. The team working between the kitchen and the tables is worthy of praise. They are kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. A trattoria with traditional flavors and a relaxing atmosphere. I have to give the food 4 stars, however, because the portion of the tagliata we ordered was too small for the price. And 15 euros for a bottle of house wine seemed excessive. Otherwise, it was good.

We stopped in for dinner and were won over from the first moment. The place is cozy and quaint, but what really makes the difference is the hospitality: the staff is super friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend the dish of the day with a smile.

A fantastic experience! Trattoria Al Portego proves that simple, traditional cuisine, when done well, beats any Michelin-starred restaurant. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is rustic and pleasant. The prices are incredibly fair for the quality. I'll definitely be back, totally approved!
