Now I understand why Montalbano always returned there ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I admit I almost chose another place. A recent review had me hesitant: someone had complained about the Sicilian red prawns being "too small," the Sicilian ricotta and local cured meats being rated worse than those in the supermarket, and—the icing on the cake—the garbage truck driving by. Reading it, I thought: either this person has never set foot in Sicily, or they simply don't know what they're eating. I decided to take a chance. I was right. The fish was disarmingly fresh—you could taste the sea on your plate, the real thing, not the tame stuff from tourist restaurants. The red prawns? Small, yes, as they should be. The typical products—ricotta, cured meats—were exactly what you come to Sicily for: authentic, local, impossible to find on the supermarket shelf. Vincenzo, owner and chef, cooks with a passion that shines through in every dish. His wife and children serve: a family that manages the dining room with warmth and true professionalism. And then I discovered that Luca Zingaretti, during the filming of Inspector Montalbano, was also a regular here. After that dinner, I understood perfectly why. Some places aren't chosen by chance. I'll be back.

The best in Ragusa!! Delicious!!!! Pasta is cooked perfect and the octopus salad is fresh and tasty!!! A gem in Ragusa! Gratzie! Molto Bene !!

We were wandering Ragusa and very hungry at 17:30, stumbled across Ai Lumi, and very grateful we did. We are vegetarian and enjoyed a caprese salad followed by x3 pasta dishes that were simple and absolutely delicious! The house wine was wonderful. The atmosphere was quiet, relaxed and the service was kind and attentive. Highly recommend for an authentic and memorable meal.

‘Black Pork’ is a shank, roasted rather than braised. So it was rather tough and dry. The shank was inadequately re-heated and had to be sent back to the oven. Not good! Fortunately, it was deleted from the bill which was the right thing for the restaurant to do. Grilled veggies, Zucchini and Aubergine, are ok and same for roasted potatoes. There is a cover charge of €2.50 each. Eat here, don’t expect to be happy. ☹️

It was a huge surprise for us! It's a really lovely and cozy place. The stuff is so helpful and attentive. The food what we ordered it was high class, fresh and delicious. The wine recommendation was also stunning. Even the chef came and asked how is our meal! Wonderful experience! Thanks again! We will come back definitely!👍

The internal room is enchanting, completely in light stone with an arch, the food is truly excellent, good value for money, wines by the glass but with open bottles at the moment, excellent advice and an excellent choice... to finish, excellent Ragusa cheeses
