The place is certainly very charming, with an old-fashioned atmosphere typical of a classic Bolognese country trattoria, super friendly staff, good food... the only downside: coming to the open countryside to eat delicious but traditional dishes would imply (at least in my imagination as a customer) a much lower price than the 44 euros per person without alcohol that we spent... in any case, I'm happy I came to eat in this historic trattoria!

I'd been looking for a trattoria near Bologna for a great Bolognese meal for a while. Ai Canaletti was very satisfying.
The appetizers were hand-sliced cold cuts, and the first courses were plentiful and delicious.
For my second course, I chose a very flavorful mutton dish, not the ever-popular boiled meats.
I'm not a fan of desserts, but the menu featured some interesting dishes, including a zuppa inglese made with Porretta cakes.
The price was fair, but not cheap, given the quality and quantity of the dishes.

Typical restaurant. Historic in the Bologna area.
Good food, but room for improvement.
If I may say so, I'm not a chef, but the tortellini in broth must be cooked to perfection, especially since they were rightly so.
In my opinion, the highlight is the boiled meat platter.

Recommended by friends, I'd say it's a typical local trattoria. The food was good but not exceptional; the cuts of boiled meat (cotechino, lean meat) were excellent, while others, like the tongue, weren't cooked properly. The first courses were adequate. The cured meats were excellent, as were some of the desserts. It cost around €60, but we ate abundantly.
I'd return after trying other restaurants.

Family-run restaurant serving excellent Bolognese cuisine, with first courses like gramigna with sausage, the must-try macaroni with onion, a wide selection of boiled meats and roasts, and finally, the desserts... delicious... homemade. Given the popularity, reservations are essential.
