The food is excellent, the quantities are small, consequently the price is high.
The plate of mixed cured meats is very good but a slice of each cured meat is very little.
A spoonful of puree €4.60
We arrived late because there was no room earlier and there were leftovers in the dessert trolley.
In the service I didn't like the fact that they give priority to regular customers and there is very different treatment.
Historic restaurant on San Vitale, with decor that pleasantly takes us back in time and goes very well with traditional cuisine.
There is a menu but there is no use, the trolleys of cold cuts, roasts and boiled meats speak for themselves. Among the first courses, in addition to the tortelli, the strong points are the tagliatelle with meat sauce, the tortelloni, the gramigna with sausage. And much more, in the purest Bolognese tradition.
The cold cuts are chosen from the trolley and freshly cut by hand, this is an indication of quality, I recommend accompanying them with the excellent crescentine, not at all greasy.
The roasts are juicy and tasty, also freshly cut, and this makes a lot of the difference. An excellent puree as a side dish. The only note is that the availability of the cart may vary at the time of the service, given that it is continuously replenished. But this also gives a sign of the freshness of the products.
Trolley also for desserts, with the possibility of doing more tastings.
Precise and very fast service. Excellent quality products. Good wine list, focus on the local.

Among the best boiled meats in Emilia Romagna, the restaurant's main dish together with the gramigna pasticciata. The other first courses were also good. Baked vegetables are not recommended... the real Achilles' heel of the menu! The puree and cold cuts are excellent. Not to mention the desserts: angelic! Passable house wine. Not quite up to scratch. Generally the place is quite crowded and with a frenetic pace for the wait staff. Which, nevertheless, does everything possible to follow customers, but does not always succeed. Fairly short waiting times. Good quality/price. Large and comfortable place with interiors covered in warm wood and with the hospitality of the trattorias of the past.

Congratulations, in my opinion the best trattoria in Bologna. Highly recommended, I have always found quality, kindness and I have been going with my children for 16 years.

Trattoria genuina nel servizio e nel cibo.
Fantastici i rigatoni alla cipolla fra i primi e carrello dei bolliti e arrosti spettacolare.

Cercavamo un posto tipico e fuori dal centro di Bologna e così decidiamo di venire a provare questo ristorante. Posto appunto fuori dal traffico della città e molto rustico, il servizio veloce ma anche cordiale e molto simpatico, cibo mi è sembrato molto buono e di qualità: gramigna con salsiccia e tagliatelle al prosciutto, e poi prendiamo dei piatti da mettere al centro e condividere di bolliti e arrosti, con anche una ciotolina di ragù alla bolognese. Gramigna e tagliatelle molto buone, ragù non era male e molto buoni anche i bolliti e gli arrosti. Di dolci prendiamo crème caramel, torta di riso e mascarpone, anche questi ottimi quindi devo dire che è un posto che vale la pena provare e da tornare assolutamente ed i prezzi sono molto più bassi rispetto alla media
