The kind of place you hope to find in every city you visit. Small and welcoming whether you're inside or outside. Warm in every sense of the word. You'll feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. The owners welcome you with warmth and simplicity, offering simple yet carefully prepared dishes, prepared with excellent ingredients and paired with local wines. The atmosphere is convivial and relaxed, where time seems to slow down.

A memorable experience. We ate wonderfully, unexpected dishes—though we started with the inevitable mixed platter, a must in Parma. The host who accompanied us throughout the meal suggested unique, delicious wines. Few tables, an intimate atmosphere. What can I say: it's truly a wonderful place.

At the turn of an alley, away from the crowds, we came across this restaurant. What a lovely surprise! We were welcomed by this couple, very kind and very welcoming. You shouldn't be in a hurry and above all you should take your time and savor every minute. The food is very good, whether it's the quality of the charcuterie or the cheese, and the dishes are succulent. I recommend 😍❤️

I don't know whether to give more stars to the food or the owners... everything was super... really super... if you're passing through Parma, it's a must-stop. Perfect food, equally perfect service, and a very fair price. Truly satisfied with everything! Excellent!

Excellent selection of ingredients and tasty dishes. The recommended wines were a pleasant surprise. Laura and Lorenzo are kind, welcoming, and fun to meet adults, children, medium-sized children, and even furry friends! We'll definitely be back.

15/11/2025: Typical local food; we found everything very good. Attentive and helpful staff. Good prices. Excellent wine list.
13/11/2025: This family-run trattoria is located just outside Pilastro, heading towards Torrechiara Castle. It's not very visible from the road. There are about twenty tables spread across two floors, and the atmosphere is quiet. During the warmer months, a spacious marquee is also used in the garden, but it's a bit more anonymous and noisy. The wait staff is very friendly, and the service is quick. The cuisine offers good-quality, innovative local dishes: among the first courses, tagliolini with Parma ham and potato gnocchi with salami paste are truly delicious. The second courses, especially the Pilastro wheel and the golden duck, are particularly noteworthy. Good value for money. A small tip: the presentation of the dishes on the website is too reminiscent of tourist-oriented menus and doesn't reflect the quality offered.

09/11/2025: We were here for lunch today at Trovatore. We organized a trip to Parma and contacted this restaurant. The menu was €30.00, including mixed cold cuts, an omelette, two first courses, water, and a sbrisolona. The portions were truly ridiculous: 5 ravioli per person and 4 small bowls of gnocchi for a table of 26 people. Dessert was served on three shared plates with a couple of bowls of mascarpone cream. Obviously, it wasn't enough for the whole table. But unfortunately, it was all gone. There wasn't any left... ridiculous... we told the owner, who pretended to apologize... but by then he'd pocketed the money and didn't even bother to offer us a coffee... disappointing. It's obvious we won't be returning, and above all, we won't speak highly of the place. I'm sorry because he lost out on a few more portions... shame.
