18/10/2025: Those who read my reviews know very well that I share exactly what I experience firsthand (without making concessions, as they say). Well, PIZZA CAPITALE was a real surprise. I consider places that serve food quite ordinary these days. Pizza Capitale is special. The extreme courtesy with which you are welcomed (by Eleonora, whose name a colleague told me towards the end of the evening) is truly kind and professional. And all the staff: they make you feel unique, important. A small misunderstanding, without any complaints on our part (there were three of us), produced a second pizza for free (even though I had already finished mine). Everyone was courteous in a lovely setting. After an experience like this, how can I speak about the quality of the food, which in my opinion, is very good, but it definitely takes a back seat (many can make a good pizza, but valuing the customer who is destined to eat it is, believe me, a very rare thing). In other words, even though I live very far away, on my business trips to the capital, I will always have to return.
31/08/2025: There were three of us inside; the wait staff was kind and welcoming.
Unfortunately, we ended up at a table where we were back-to-back with others, a bit cramped.
We ordered mozzarella balls and Ascolana olives, which were delicious, followed by zucchini flowers and a cod fillet, a bit industrial but good.
Next, a buffalo pizza, a margherita, and a Bismark pintxo with mixed vegetables.
After about 50 minutes, the sandwich arrived, forcing me to eat alone. After another 10 minutes, the pizzas arrived.
Unfortunately, we didn't like the pizzas; the tomato was raw and the mozzarella was unevenly distributed, but the dough was good, light, and crispy.
The pintxo was good, well-filled, although the egg inside arrived broken, dripping all over the plate.
The vegetables were bland and lacking in salt (maybe I should have ordered the condiments separately), the eggplant was mushy and poorly grilled, but the peppers and zucchini were good.
Maybe we just had the wrong night, but it's hard to believe all these mistakes; it almost seemed like there was no chef/pizza chef.
