Torcolo In Verona

Wonderful food in a magical atmosphere. Very attentive staff. We had the bollito misto. It was served spectacularly at the table in a warming trolley. It came with perea and delicate, velvety mashed potatoes. Green sauce, horseradish, and mostarda were served alongside. Verona cuisine as you would imagine it.

An absolute must-see in Verona! We loved the appetizers, from the poached egg with tons of truffle to the shrimp tartare, the latter very fresh. And especially the first courses: the well-balanced Amarone risotto and the famous pappardelle with black truffle. The presentation was spectacular, as they took them out of a LV box and grated them at the table! The second courses weren't as impressive; the fish was a bit dry, and the fillet was overcooked even though we'd asked for it medium-rare. I didn't have high expectations for the food, thinking it was just an "Instagrammable" place, but the quality of the dishes surprised us, as did the prices (we spent €90 each for two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and dessert, plus two glasses of wine).

Let's say I had very high expectations... Good service Let's say the dishes are sufficient, nothing so exceptional. The terrible desserts with no flavor then a mess of isinglass. I don't recommend at all!

Topppp. Boiled truffle with homemade pasta Experience

I've been to Torcolo in Verona and had a great time. The place is elegant but not overbearing. I had the boiled meat with pearà and an Amarone risotto, both cooked to perfection. The service is fast and the waiters are friendly, and they seem to really care about their customers. The wine selection is also nice, extensive and high-quality. They even brought a small dessert for free at the end, which I appreciated. The prices are higher than average, but considering the quality and the ambience, I think it's fair enough. It's a place I'd happily return to.

A very Instagrammable and unique location, with excellent and fast service. Be warned, they won't leave you hungry; the generous portions will satisfy even the fussiest eaters. The wine list is noteworthy.

Esperienza molto soddisfacente. Il locale mi è stato consigliato da amici ed ho prenotato, facilmente, on line. Il locale è curato ma senza eccessi "patinati". La posizione veramente comoda in quanto si trova a 200 mt dalla Arena. Ho ordinato il piatto dei bolliti: cottura perfetta, mix delle carni ampio, guarnizioni diverse. Poi ho preso il gelato: anche qui qualità rilevante sia del gelato che delle diverse guarnizioni complementari
