Tony Bar In Roma

Nice bar in a quiet corner of a busy city. Food was very good, didn’t cost much. We definitely recommend for a slow lunch.

Tony is a little gruff at first, but then he hugs you and puts you at ease. Luana's tarts are excellent, his wife, and the first and second courses are no exception. The croissants are very good.

The pistachio croissant was great and the coffee is drinkable in few places, thank you

Tony Bar is a family-run bar. You'll find father Toni or son Luca at the bar, while mother is always there in the kitchen. It's a bar suitable for all ages, but since it's close to a school, it's often frequented by young people. If you're a Roma fan and you're going to the stadium, you absolutely must stop by: about an hour and a half before the match, the bus passes by, and while you wait, you can enjoy a couple of beers. 🍺

I loved everything about Tony bar. We visited as often as we could when we stayed in Rome. The food was delicious and affordable and the service was excellent.

The CARBONARA is exceptional. Try it, you'll remember it for days. It offers a wide selection of traditional Roman dishes. (The bar is undoubtedly geared toward Roma fans; I'm a Lazio fan, but I'm sporty 😁) The desserts are delicious, especially the sour cherry and cream tart, but you can also find pastiera (a typical Neapolitan dessert), and I was amazed by the precision of its preparation! Well done, truly well done!
