One of my favorite places along the Martesana!
I return often, especially for lunch—especially during the week, when it's quite quiet. I've always found dishes with interesting combinations of ingredients, which change more or less weekly, cooked with high-quality ingredients, and a good selection of vegetarian options. It's true that prices have gone up compared to the past, but I still find the quality-price ratio very good. Their sourdough bread is also worthy of note, as are their homemade desserts and pastries (I loved both the pumpkin pie and the carrot cake). I recommend everyone to try this little place at least once. :)

When I asked for decaffeinated coffee, no one was able to give me an answer. The food could improve, as could the service.

A very aesthetic, really good vibes though a bit pricey with respect to what's offered

After a walk in Gorla along the Martesana, Tipografia Alimentare is worth a stop, a retro bar/wine shop... I recommend the pumpkin tart with pistachio mascarpone cream to those with a sweet tooth.

Coffee isn't allowed before 12:00 on weekdays. For the kind manager who replied angrily, I'll add that the coffee machine was on and the employees were drinking coffee. I biked about 15km to try the coffee. I tried at 11:00 and got no response, so I left and came back at 11:45. Obviously, you know full well that you're the only specialty coffee shop within a 20km radius. So you might as well try to be welcoming, otherwise I don't see all this PEACE behind it.
The rating is therefore based on employee motivation.
Also, if the place is closed, don't leave the door wide open.
I even came back an hour later (12:45), but you were so busy serving tables that in 15 minutes no one asked me what I was doing standing in front of the coffee machine, or even said hello. Now you can better understand my rating.
A place that presents itself as an alternative should, in my opinion, be welcoming as well as a money-making machine, otherwise you might as well go to Starbucks.
P.S. I notice you've extended your opening hours, so maybe one day I'll drive another 15km to try it out. Always afraid of finding it open but CLOSED! as you say. 👋

A lovely place overlooking the Martesana canal, behind Viale Monza. The food is all homemade, with carefully selected ingredients from small local producers. We had the caprese with tomatoes and prickly pears (an excellent pairing), the focaccia with mortadella, mayonnaise, and marinated lemon (which paired perfectly), and the 'nduja sandwich (devastating). We then tried both desserts, the chocolate cake and the tiramisu, both excellent and homemade. The service is a bit rushed and inattentive. The portions are quite small, making it difficult to fill up without spending a lot.

I came here with a friend.
The atmosphere is modern, elegant, and the place is quite spacious. In the summer, you can sit at the outdoor tables and enjoy the view of the Martesana bike path.
The food is good, the drinks are average; the prices are excessive.
Since I was looking for privacy, I was a little uneasy to be stared at most of the time by a woman in her 55s or 60s wearing a TKlan jersey.
