17/02/2024: Nice place, with a nice atmosphere, with books and welcoming lights and decidedly pleasant background music.
I met one of the owners by chance, during a plane trip, who intrigued me, for the photos shown, the (albeit few) words of presentation of the chef's dishes, but above all for the passion for his origins, for the food and for his restaurant; really very nice.
Let's start right away with what bothered me:
- Attempted telephone booking, failed; it was all full. 1 minute later I booked without any problems through The Fork. According to the dining room staff, I was lucky but... the place was far from full and, even on The Fork, there were further availability, right away. Have at least 10/15 people cancelled?
- Receipt. Well, it may be a distortion due to my origins or having the competent bodies at home but I didn't like coming home and noticing that I had only received an advance payment at the checkout. Especially considering the cost of around 140 euros for two, paid in cash.
Now the positive notes, or almost:
- excellent food, with a small note on the excessive flavor of the first course and some excess fiber in the artichoke pie.
Creative and abundant dishes, a little expensive in some cases but the prices are displayed and I wasn't expecting a cheap restaurant.
- friendly dining room staff who know how to provide advice when requested and grant a few smiles.
Ultimately, recommended, although I hope to soon be able to change my mind on the sore points exposed here and be able to rewrite this review.
