We've been living in Schenna for four years now, but only just managed to visit the new owners. It was well worth it! As befits a visit to such a centuries-old inn, we chose a table in the original, preserved 15th-century smokehouse, where, unfortunately, there's no longer an open fire. The food—venison medallions and sliced ​​veal with grilled porcini mushrooms—was absolutely exquisite, as was the selection of drinks. Despite being full with several groups, we received excellent and friendly service throughout and were even treated to a complimentary limoncello at the end! We wish Thomas Schönweger and his team all the very best and will be back soon!

A first-class, cozy, and stylishly furnished inn dating back to the 15th century. We dined there twice during our vacation and felt very comfortable. The service is excellent and attentive. Reservations are recommended. This inn offers fine dining, which should be taken into account. If you're looking for a special evening, this is the place to go. We highly recommend it.

This evening was our first time at this fantastic and exceptionally friendly restaurant. The owner and his staff (his family) are such wonderful people; you immediately take to them, they are incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food is an absolute highlight! We went to dinner for the first time this evening and were warmly welcomed by the senior manager. He immediately showed us the old smokehouse and explained everything. We then enjoyed the food and the pleasant atmosphere. The warm hospitality is genuine and not fake.

Cozy atmosphere. We had a bit of everything, from appetizers to main courses and desserts. The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and humorous. Anyone in Schenna and the surrounding area should definitely not miss a visit.
