Terranima In Bari

Unbalanced quality-price ratio.

I'm from Bari and have been frequenting Terranima for years: it's one of the few places left where Apulian cuisine is still handmade, with authentic timing and local ingredients. Anyone who mentions "microwave" probably doesn't know what artisanal cuisine means, made with slow-cooked sauces and handmade orecchiette every morning. Nothing is improvised here: the cooking is done with love, and it shows. A place that speaks of Bari and Puglia like few others.

A fantastic place. When you enter, it feels like stepping through a doorway back in time, reflecting the authentic 1950s and 1960s style of Puglia, with retro touches and elegant rustic touches. It's like entering a tastefully curated Southern family home: terracotta floors, walls with period details, peasant utensils and objects reinterpreted with a refined touch. A bit like a designer osteria! The food is a delight for all five senses. The dishes fill your heart and soul. Elegantly presented, you almost feel guilty for wanting to eat them. When you decide to do so, your palate explodes in a riot of flavors that seem to come from the past. A delight. The service is the final highlight. Kind, cordial, helpful, and professional. They exude competence and discretion with every gesture and word without weighing down the atmosphere. You feel so at ease that you might expect a brother to emerge from the kitchen! The price is super fair and absolutely proportionate to the quality! I'm calling now to make a lunch reservation!!! P.S. A tip for the customers who gave this place a 1 rating: get a deal at McDonald's...

A very quiet place, completely peaceful, with pleasant, friendly, and always attentive staff. The quality of the products is top-notch, and the presentation of the dishes is absolutely superb. Definitely worth a try. 🙂

So let's proceed in order. Appetizers, first or second course, and dessert. Everything was very good except for the desserts, where we ordered two spumoni (spumoni) but weren't told what flavor (olives) they had, and for us, it was truly inedible. The service was certainly very attentive, but I gave it 4 stars for the price. Nine of us spent €489, with the appetizers alone costing around €22, which honestly isn't justified given that the small pieces were so small and no mozzarella or cured meats arrived. Plus, the desserts were really expensive. As for the quality of the food, there's nothing to envy.

It’s an amazing restaurant offerng delicious and fresh Apulian kitchen :) I loved it and went there for my birthday when I was visiting Bari. They offer fresh pasta, sea food, Italian cheese and main dishes, all unique to Apulian kitchen made w local products. I had a glass of white wine w my meal and it was perfect. The wines are local as well. The staff does not English that much but they help a lot in offerng nice selections from the menu. It’s a locally decorated restaurant w Apulian kitchen touches. You historically feel the vibes! In means of pricing, as they are serving quality food, the prices are exactly in line w their service and quality. Highly recommended!
