I ate at Ristorante Alex in Lecce and had a truly wonderful time. The food is delicious, with attention to every detail and fresh ingredients that you can taste from the first bite.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and always attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
The dining room is welcoming and elegant, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

Honestly, I expected more. The food is good but not wow-worthy. The staff is smug. Not suitable for groups or people who speak loudly. Suitable for couples.

We had lunch here, choosing the tasting menu. The food was truly good, especially the raw fish and the tagliolini with lemon, stracciatella, and shrimp tartare. As for the service, it didn't live up to the cuisine. One unpleasant incident: the waiter who served us the wine completely ignored the idea that a woman might understand anything about wine, showing the label and allowing only the man to taste the wine (a bit too sexist in 2025).

The tasting experience is a marvelous journey that surprises and pampers at every step, a direct dialogue with the Chef's passion, always tangible. Unforgettable. The service is professional, attentive, never cold or distant, but always discreet. Perfect.
Every time I return, I ask myself: what does Alex have more than the others? Today I found the answer: a love for the restaurant business, a gesture of care towards those who taste the dishes, rather than purely technical and cold self-satisfaction. And that love makes all the difference.

Excellent food, excellent service, just meters from the Roman amphitheater. The price was a bit steep for our budget (not absolutely), but considering the quality of the ingredients and their preparation, the location, and the professionalism and courtesy of the staff, it's all worth it. A seafood dinner with an appetizer, a first course, a second course shared for two, two glasses of wine, a delicious and surprising dessert, and a passito. The entree also included a selection of ten baked goods (a variety of bread, focaccia, and pizzo leccese) and the chef's after-dinner treats (with several dessert samples), offered by default to all guests. Total: €135. The quality of the seafood was excellent. Once in a while, for those with a modest standard of living and a low-to-medium income, it's a truly enjoyable experience.
