Don't be fooled by the "Tavernetta" or "small tavern" side! It is a high-end restaurant, with fine and sophisticated cuisine that will please discerning palates. There are photos of Callas everywhere (she had a vacation home in Sirmione). The dishes were tasty at a really affordable price (but a little more expensive than the basic osteria anyway!). The highlights of the dinner: the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and mint and the absolutely divine suckling pig.

The view and the dessert were spectacular. The main dish was just OK. Not far off the main pedestrian walk path, but far enough to feel secluded.

The food here was super delicious. And we ordered a bottle of Franciacorta which was really nice, i can highly recommend that one. The tiramisu was also delicious. Service was very professional. The ambiance was very relaxing. We were lucky to get a table even no reservation. It was a lovely evening to end our trip in Sirmione.

Stedet har en fin beliggenhet i Sirmione, ikke for travelt på utsiden, men hyggelig å se folk gå forbi. Bordene er fint plassert, vi satt ute. Maten var det ikke noe å utsette på, vi bestilte risotto, ravioli og kalvekjøtt. Det som trekker ned vurderingen vår er servicen fra betjeningen. De er litt for tidlig ute med å skulle rydde av bordet og utålmodige da de ventet på at vi skulle bestemme oss for hva vi skulle spise. Vi fikk en kommentar om at de hadde en jobb å gjøre som passet veldig dårlig. Vi møtte venner vi ikke hadde sett på lenge og hadde en del å snakke om. Om det da tar litt mer tid å bestille maten burde ikke betyr dårligere service.

Restaurant Tavernetta Maria Callas is a beautiful little gem in the middle of the old town. They have a lovely wine selection, and I highly recommend the Montanale ‘La Conta’ 2019—we even plan to buy a few bottles before we leave!
The shrimp and scallop appetiser was delicious, and I really recommend it. I had the pork suckling for the main course, which had fantastic flavors, though the skin wasn’t as crispy as I would have liked. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Definitely worth a visit when in Sirmione!

Excellent experience. Recommended to us by our Hotel (Casa Scaligeri). Excellent dishes with a wide choice. All homemade. Ice cream included.
Wide choice of bitters with a very precious explanation for each one provided by the waiter.

We had dinner last night, after going to Sirmione many times, we discovered this restaurant, what can we say? It's close to perfection, maximum attention to customers, the food is delicious, the composition of the dishes is spectacular... moreover, they brought us the dessert with a dedication... fantastic
