TavernAllegra in an alley in the ancient center of Sorrento. We came to spend a different evening and I must say that it was completely successful... Excellent food... Fresh and genuine products, music accompanied the evening... Friendly and helpful staff. We felt at home. Thank you very much to the owner Giuseppe and his staff... We will be back and definitely recommend this place...

I dined here almost 3 years ago now and still think about it all the time. Not only was it delicious food, but it was the most fun and friendly atmosphere. They made us feel like family and we had so much fun dancing with the guitarist and other guests. We recommend this hidden gem to anyone who visits Sorrento!

The food is delicious but too long. However, they told me to order 3 dishes and said I would get a 20% discount, so I said ok, but they didn't give me a discount when I paid the last bill. No discount.
Don't be like me and refuse firmly. In the end, we had a lot of food left over. lol

Tucked in an alley off the Piazza Tasso, Allegra is worth the trouble to find. We were there off season, only 3 tables going for dinner, but the owner made it all very special, fussing over us in his very good English. We had an excellent bottle of local white wine, Greco di Tufo. Food was simple, well executed. The highlight for us was the guitarist, a gentleman of a certain age who played and sometimes sang Italian songs and a little American pop. I tipped him 10 Euros and got more than my money's worth; he made the night just splendid. Maybe a little on the touristy side, but this is Sorrento, everywhere is touristy. We will always remember this dinner.

An excellent restaurant hidden up the side streets of Sorrento. We were recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Giuseppe is the star of the show and he provided a beautiful service. The food was excellent, reasonable value and the setting was lovely. There was some live music which added some atmosphere without being intrusive. A hidden gem in the area.
