Taverna San Trovaso In Venezia

Lovely staff. Place really busy but the kind waiter saved me a table for a bit later on. Wine was good and excellent price for the house. Food ? Ravioli ok. Small portion. The tomato sauce was a bit like the Baxter’s awful concentrate soup. Shame. Waiter was so nice too. Was packed to the rafters. Maybe just my order.

At the Taverna San Trovaso you can breathe an air of home and friendship, the dishes offered are always excellent and the staff is always polite and welcoming, even if the place is full. Well done guys! Keep it up!

Restaurant with excellent value for money. We ate a starter of cicchetti di terra, bigoli with duck ragù and mixed fried fish (all divided in two). All truly delicious, in a clean and well-kept environment. The bread was also delicious! In total with a water, a zero coke, half a liter of house red and two coffees we spent 74 euros. Courteous staff.

Excellent Venetian cuisine, friendly and professional staff. I recommend anyone tourist or local to try this experience

Oggi siamo stati in questo locale e ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Buonissimi i paccheri con sc Ampi e pesto di pistacchi. Buono anche il fegato alla veneziana. Prezzo corretto e porzioni adeguate. Buon rapporto qualità - prezzo.

Delicious food, great place, unique atmosphere.

We wanted to go a couple other places and ended up here. It's ok. Service was not terrible but not great either. Dropped off bread and oil no plates, had to ask another server for plates. Server seemed judgy on our wine pick.. I know wine, did we pick a great one or a bad one? No. Did I ask for his reaction? No. Burrata was very good, ravioli was good but Ossobucco was kinda average... and I'm comparing to USA. We're literally a long bike ride from Lombardy.. You would think it would have been at least top 10 I've had. Wife was a chef, I just eat at nice places a lot for work so it's not a pedestrian opinion at all. Also their table bread needs some work. I've gotten better bread during this trip from street vendors, hell even on the ferry we took. My German dad's homemade bread is 10x better. Polenta was way too thick, supposed to be loose. Was like gelatin in the fridge. Again not a terrible restaurant just disappointing for the price and setting.

Good experience to discover Venetian specialties.
