Taverna Mari In Grottaferrata

My first time at Taverna Mari was noteworthy, but I would have appreciated 20 grams more of pasta (but because it was really good!)

The atmosphere is welcoming, rustic, with exposed beams, just like an old-fashioned tavern. I'd just like to freshen up the walls. The service was good. The dishes I tried were decent, but they didn't stay with me. The price was right.

I've been to this restaurant several times and am always enchanted. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with attention to every detail, a perfect balance between elegance and simplicity. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always present but never intrusive. The menu offers a refined selection of dishes prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Excellent

A welcoming, family-run restaurant. We dined by the fireplace, enjoying the delicious dishes prepared by the chef, a blend of flavors, refinement, and tradition (even the palate of a three-year-old was meticulously catered to), served with kindness and attentiveness by the owner. A taverna absolutely recommended.

I visited this restaurant with my family (my wife, a 4-year-old boy, and a 10-month-old girl) on Saturday, July 19th. The restaurant is truly meticulously maintained, down to the smallest detail. I believe the building has historical significance (unfortunately, I didn't look into it). We were greeted by the entire staff with great warmth and courtesy, given their enormous attention to the needs of the entire family. The owner was very kind in suggesting our dishes (we opted for a house appetizer, a delicious pane e olio, and two main courses: straccetti with cardoon mushrooms and guancia al cesanese). When the dishes arrived, I realized that the guancia wasn't to my taste; noticing this, the owner, without batting an eyelid, said, "Don't worry, at a restaurant you should eat what you actually like." So, I opted for some delicious saltimbocca alla romana. The experience was excellent, both in terms of the quality of the food and the customer service, which is increasingly rare these days! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I don't usually write reviews. But this time, I want to express my gratitude to the owners, Mr. Fabrizio and his father, always very attentive and caring towards customers. Very welcoming and clean place. Polite and efficient staff. Excellent and quality food with a wide choice. Reasonable prices. It's like being at home. It will be our main reference place.
