An excellent restaurant in the heart of Pistoia, almost on Piazza della Sala, with a very original and tasteful decor. This is our menu: tortelli filled with Prato mortadella with a parmesan cream, chopped pistachios, and drops of basil reduction, artisanally marinated beef carpaccio with crunchy seasonal vegetables, and dessert.

The food is simply fantastic, with a very cozy and lovely atmosphere

Enchanting place. Very friendly staff. Incredible wine. Fresh pasta made by them... Need I say more? Very attentive to children too (my children are 4 years and 8 months old, and the bathroom has a changing table). Highly recommended!

We ate at Gargantua 3 times last week and we loved the food, the atmosphere and the service every time! It is a popular place among locals, they come there to celebrate their birthdays or just to have a meal - so it is clear that the food is delicious typical Italian! On Friday evening we were greeted by a very nice waitress who told us about their tavern and the wines. The food was delicious, everything was very tasty! congratulations to the entire staff!

We are staying in Lucca, and visited Pistoia, we found Taverna Gargantua Osteria and we blown away by the cuisine, outsanding tastes and aromas, Iacopo and Riccardo provided exceptional customer service, and a fab location. Regards from The Lucca Cinque xxxxx

Die Qualität der Speisen ist sehr gut, wir hatten eine Vorspeise Platte, einen Salat und als Hauptgericht Ravioli gefüllt mit Mortadella und einer Sahnesoße sowie Papadelle mit Ragout. Bei der Vorspeise war das Brot etwas trocken, geschmacklich war der Teller sehr gut. Auf den ersten Blick scheint die Portion Ravioli klein zu sein, jedoch sehr sättigend. Geschmacklich waren beide Hauptspeisen sehr gut. Der Salat war nix, lieblos ein paar Salatblätter. Wir hatten Pech mit dem Service, unsere Bedienung hat Getränke vergessen, Öl, etc., leider kommt auch kein Entschuldigung. Vermittelt den Eindruck als ob einheimische bevorzugt werden. Fazit: hier kann man sehr gut essen, deshalb können wir es empfehlen, wenn man über den Service hinweg sieht.

Locale carino, situato nel pieno centro della città. Tanti camerieri, ma se fossi nel titolare (che sicuramente non saprà di certe dinamiche), sarebbe meglio fossero in numero minore ma più preparati e adatti al mestiere. Se si prenota per un dato numero ed esigenze e all'arrivo non si è rispettata la richiesta, si mette in difficoltà l'ospite e si fa partire male la serata. Quando viene fatto presente viene detto che il problema è stato creato da noi. Prezzi medio alti. Più no che si
