There, high in the mountains, where the air is thin and the silence thick, lies a restaurant that you would expect to find in a fairy tale rather than on Google Maps. You sit down on the terrace of Terrazza Costantino at a height where clouds are not above you, but next to you. And before you are even properly seated, it begins: a parade of works of art on porcelain. An amuse here, a whispered explosion of taste there. You taste Sicily, but at star level, without it having lost its peasant soul. The wines? Layered and exciting. No thirty-page wine list here, but a selection that perfectly complements all dishes. And then the bill… While you rub your belly and your heart is full, you receive the receipt. And you look again. And again. Not because it's high, but because you think they forgot to write down a course or four. You won't find a price-quality ratio like that anymore. So, are you a bit of a Burgundian, do you have a steering wheel and are not in a hurry? Then drive up that mountain. And if you think they're asking too little for so much happiness, just give an extra tip. Because places like that should continue to exist.
