We had lunch here on February 21, 2026. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome and, above all, the excellent food! I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you're visiting Monreale.
They also have excellent vegan and vegetarian options, which I love as a vegan!

We had the best meal in this restaurant during out trip to Palermo. Absolute perfection, and their coffee is truly the best I have ever had (and I had tons). Each meal we had was amazing, service was kind and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Monreale.

After visiting the Monreale Cathedral, a friend and I stopped for lunch at the Taverna del Pavone. The place is very charming (in an old building with exposed beams), with attention to detail, and, above all, you are welcomed with kindness and courtesy by Mr. Marcello and his daughter-in-law. The food is not disappointing, and you will have the opportunity to taste some unique liqueurs that evoke Sicily and the Mediterranean. I thank Mr. Marcello for the conversation and for not treating us like tourists. I will definitely return to Palermo and will be sure to return to see the wonder of the Monreale Cathedral. What better occasion to stop here again and eat at Mr. Marcello's. Thank you, Maria Grazia.

We had a great meal here. Pasta sauce freshly made. Branzino prepared 2 ways, perfectly cooked with no bones ( none). Service was excellent, and great selection of wines at reasonable prices

Whenever we visit Palermo, we have to eat here... everything is fantastic, the pasta with sardines is delicious, the staff is very kind, patient, and attentive. 100%!
