The portions are very large. The waiters don't speak English or don't want to. The appetizer was very good, as was the salad and the fish soup. The fried fish, on the other hand, and the grilled fish had a spoiled taste in places.. the bread was very hard and the one with olives I think was spoiled too.. it smelled of mold.

I really like Taverna del Caputano, the grilled Coregone is my faborite dish, i always end up taking it again and again. Authentic food, nice service, a great location... i am looking forward for my next visit.

The view is truly amazing, right on Lake Garda. We had a schnitzel and grilled fish for dinner. The schnitzel was very good, by fish standards. Unfortunately, the food arrived at different times, with a delay of about 5-10 minutes. Cash payments are only accepted at the bar, not at the table. The restaurant's large dog is very friendly.

The person who recommended it to us told us that this is the last true place in Garda where you can eat lake fish properly. I don't know if it's truly the last, but I can say that the food is truly good! Following the "Captain's" advice, we tried some truly excellent specialties. The craft beer is also noteworthy. Not recommended, but more than that!

Posto davvero consigliato se volete fare un tuffo nel passato. Piatti di tradizione del lago cucinati al meglio. Abbiam preso l antipasto misto e il coregone alla mugnaia e abbiam diviso diversi piatti a base di pesce di lago presenti sul menu. . I dolci sebbene fossimo pieni li abbiam presi comunque. Ed eran davvero buoni ! Torneremo Grazie ai cuochi e al personale che hanno reso la nostra gita del sabato in famiglia ancora più speciale

Sedersi alla taverna del Capitano è un viaggio incredibile nella tradizione del pesce di lago, una storia ricchissima di sapori e saperi antichi. Abbiamo assaporato ricette mai provate prima, abbiamo goduto la pasta fatta a mano, i dolci fatti in casa e le grappe, aromatizzate, che non puoi trovare altrove. Un luogo vero ed intatto

Klesh Pub & Beer

11/08/2025: I went to Klesh Pub to participate in their challenge: 1.5kg of hamburger bun in 30 minutes. If you manage to eat it all, you win €100. I won, but I must admit I was impressed with the pub's hospitality. It was very charming, decorated in true style, and the owner was very friendly and cheerful, from the bar to the customer service, always available. The bun, despite its extra-large size, made exclusively for the challenge, was truly delicious. If you're in the area or just passing through, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it; in fact, you'll definitely be back.
07/08/2025: A lovely, informal place to spend an evening with friends. They also host themed evenings, like a fun and engaging quiz on Wednesdays. Friendly and helpful staff.

14/07/2025: The restaurant's location is impressive. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I had a very good wheat beer here. The service was excellent. The prices were reasonable. The place was clean. I will definitely come back here someday.
