Don't go there to photograph the dishes If your goal is to fill Instagram with perfect photos of the dishes, this might not be the place for you. Not because the dishes aren't beautiful to look at, on the contrary. But because, as soon as you walk in the door and are greeted by Riccardo, the host, just like the ones they used to be, you immediately understand that the experience here is different. At Taverna, you don't just go to eat. You savor everything: the setting, the background music, the conversation, the aromas, the atmosphere, and, of course, the dishes. When the first course arrives, your phone stays where it is. Not because anyone forbids it, but because you simply don't think about it. You're too busy enjoying the moment. It's a throwback to when we went out to dinner for the pleasure of being together and eating well, not to talk about it on social media. Maybe, later, you'll think: "Damn, I didn't take a picture!" But I assure you, you won't care much. More food will arrive, and once again, your smartphone will stay in your pocket. You won't return home with anything extra in your gallery, but with something inside that you won't "empty" from your memory to free up space.

We were here last night, me and two other friends. Riki, the host, is truly a great guy, a huge fan of Jannacci, as am I. He's a cheerful and frank person, and he led us through dinner with a wonderful conversation. The food was truly good, and the place is truly authentic, like the ones of the past. But the real added value are the owners: genuine, sociable people, always present at the tables. They manage to create a unique atmosphere, engaging all the guests as if they'd known each other forever. Within minutes, you feel like you're part of a large table full of friends, even if you came in as a stranger. A place where you eat well, laugh, and want to return.

Authentic, high-quality Milanese cuisine, with traditional dishes executed to perfection. Full-bodied flavors and generous portions. Special mention for the zigoiner, truly delicious. Honorable mention for the host, Riccardo, always friendly, kind, and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Highly recommended!
