You don't come to this restaurant just for the good food (many homemade dishes, from unique pizzas to homemade gelato), but for the combination of food, atmosphere, service, and patrons. The owner, a great host, holds it all together with his warmth.

Courteous and helpful staff, very fast service, despite the large room and a beautiful garden. You can feel that there is history behind the cuisine of this place, it is not a new trendy restaurant, you come to eat well in a relaxed environment and where the service is very professional. I had the liver with onions and mashed potatoes, both exquisite, the liver cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, and the mashed potatoes buttery and tasty, just like my mother used to make them. Flavors that recall times gone by, when time and quality raw materials were not an exception, but the norm. The chocolate salami is also excellent, which I had not eaten for years, I will return with pleasure and I highly recommend it.

The tavern looks welcoming and the food is discreet. The problem in my opinion is the price: a schnitzel, a vitello with tuna sauce, a medium blonde, a water and a coffee ≈€80.
The service is basic, just like a tavern.

Historic place, for me, in Milan. However, I hadn't been there for several years. The pizza is always excellent: thin, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside
