Taverna Calabiana In Milano

The tavern looks welcoming and the food is discreet. The problem in my opinion is the price: a schnitzel, a vitello with tuna sauce, a medium blonde, a water and a coffee ≈€80. The service is basic, just like a tavern.

Excellent restaurant. They have been churning out excellent pizzas and traditional Milanese dishes for over 30 years.

Historic place, for me, in Milan. However, I hadn't been there for several years. The pizza is always excellent: thin, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside And the porrina is always the best

I state…. I have never written any reviews but this time I have to. Last night I booked a table for 4 people at 8-30 pm. We arrived a few minutes late but Mr. Alessandro (owner) kindly accompanied us to the (round) table and we are already off to a great start. As soon as we were seated, a white pizza with mozzarella, leek and gorgonzola (swoon-worthy) arrived at the table. We ordered: a Fiorentina, if I remember correctly, of grilled Angus with baked potatoes and gorgonzola (from science fiction), a grilled fillet with rocket and parmesan inside (from the almanac) and a meat tartare seasoned at the table by the waiter (spectacular). All accompanied by 3 medium beers, a glass of Rose wine and 2 jugs of water and finally 2 cups of ice cream. The restaurant was fully occupied, synonymous in my humble opinion with the guarantee of the food offered to us. Thank you for Existing Taverna Calabiana Rating 10 and praise

We went to this excellent restaurant last night. Alessandro kindly welcomes us and accompanies us to the table. Rustic-chic environment, aromas of embers and pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven. Alessandro recommends Fiorentina, fillet and tartare, accompanied by baked potatoes with gorgonzola. Meat cooked to perfection, succulent and fragrant. Tartare prepared at the table with excellent service! A restaurant that I highly recommend to all lovers of good food

I had the pleasure of having lunch at Taverna Calabiana for a business meeting and I was very satisfied. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff extremely friendly and professional, perfect for a quiet lunch. The pizzas served as a starter were a pleasant surprise: tasty and perfect to start the meal. The quality of the meat is also excellent, cooked to perfection and with an excellent flavour. A restaurant that I highly recommend, both for business meetings and for a quality meal in a welcoming environment

Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Pizze digeribili e carne gustosa. Simpatico il giardinetto interno anche se ahimè troppo frequentato da zanzare. Ambiente informale 3 personale professionale

Abbiamo cenato con altre coppie di amici. Locale molto pieno, visto il periodo prenatalizio. I proprietari e i camerieri si sono rivelati molto gentili e alla mano e abbastanza attenti nonostante il locale fosse al completo. Per quanto riguarda i piatti serviti, sia i nostri sia dei commensali a tavola con noi, sono stati ritenuti tutti buoni e gradevoli (antipasti, primi e secondi e dolci). Le pizze da condividere come entree erano appetitose croccanti e gustose. A nostro avviso il locale è piacevole e tranquillo e concreto.
