The post-apocalyptic atmosphere isn't something I personally like; it makes it look run-down. The service is average, though not very attentive. The food is acceptable, nothing special, although the portions are large. The price is good.

We went on a Monday night. Located in Florence's Piazza Santo Spirito, it's a fantastic place to try typical Tuscan food. We ordered Pici Cacio e Pepe, surely the best we've ever had (and will ever have). We also ordered a pizza with slightly spicy burrata, which was very pleasant. Excellent value for money.

We went there for lunch thanks to our guide's recommendation. The menu is varied, with pizzas and pasta. Prices range from €11 to €18 for the most expensive options, and the drinks are surprisingly affordable.
A highly recommended restaurant.

I can’t even begin to say how good this place is. I have celiac disease and finally found the perfect gluten-free bread. I ordered the bruschetta, which was delicious — fresh tomatoes and excellent seasoning. The house wine was delightful. I had gluten-free penne with ragu, and my husband had tagliatelle with ragu — it was the best fresh pasta we’ve ever had. The staff was super attentive. Excellent lunch, I 100% recommend it, especially for anyone with celiac disease.

The square and restaurant are located on the other side of the river from the actual old town. They're a great alternative to the overcrowded area around the cathedral. There are lots of restaurants and bars here – Tamero is definitely one of the places where you can get authentic, handmade pasta of excellent quality and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.
