Gamberi is the best snack!!! Omg I’ve never tried so delicious shrimps before. That crisp, was … I have a cosmo in my eyes literally. Everyone must try gumberies! EVERYONE! I will return from Kazakhstan only for gamberi and homemade white wine one day, remember it! I will miss it so much T_T

This was a positive surprise. Chosing a restaurant in a touristy area of Florence without asking local friends is a gamble. This one had, as we saw, averagely good ratings, so surly no big failure we decided. It was much less full than the others nearby, which is not always a good sign, but we wanted a bit of calm and quiet. So we were really happy to realise that the food was actually good. The pasta might have done with a pinch of spice less (for me, personally), the pizza was good. Considering that the queue for Gustapizza around the corner, the much applauded Pizzeria of the area, was half around the block, and here we had our food after 20-30 minutes, this was surely a win. Prices very acceptable for Florence.

Delicious home-made food - we saw how the lady was kneading the pizza dough. Affordable, in close proximity to the Pitti Palace, a great place for an afternoon lunch. It is even open during Florence's siesta.

I'm left hungry. The food was good but I thought it was a very small dish for its value (€18). Furthermore, upon arriving, they offered me water and, when I accepted, they brought me a giant bottle, even though I was eating alone... I feel like I have fallen into a tourist trap.

Had an early lunch. We went 10yrs ago and again this week. Still the most amazing pasta I have had in Florence.

Opción más que interesante para comer. Pasta recién hecha y muy rica. Las pizzas artesanales. Precio medio. Lo recomiendo.

In passato sono venuto spesso in questo locale perché per me faceva una delle migliori pizze fi Firenze. Due giorni fa sono tornato ma ho voluto provare un primo, piccolo cacio e pepe. Malgrado punti molto sulla pasta come locale, non sono rimasto parte soddisfatto. Il mio amico ha preso la pizza che, a suo dire, è sempre molto buona

06/08/2024: I came here very last minute due to all the reviews I read and since it was also highly recommended by my airbnb host. I ordered the pear and pecorino ravioli and the tiramisu. I see a lot of people saying the food is mediocre - false, this is extremely refined well cooked food but i doubt that everyone has the palate to appreciate the subtlety of the flavors. The ravioli was a perfect blend of cheesy with a delicate hint of fresh sweetness from the pear AND the pasta dough was THIN and perfectly cooked which i haven’t had the pleasure of having anywhere else while I stayed in Florence. I also had the tiramisu for dessert: light, airy and subtle alcohol twinge on the end note. I personally prefer my tiramisu on the creamier side but I do believer their version is the traditional conception. I went on the tail end of my trip but wouldn’t hesitate to go again should I return to Florence!
02/08/2024: This was my second visit to La Giostra and my family's first. They loved it as much as I did. It is fun, lively and with a unique atmosphere. They were very nice to expand our table when it was a little cramped. They bring you a beautiful plate of appetizers and all the food is amazing. The cheesecake with hot fudge was my favorite dessert but they were all good and our server was so sweet and nice. In our top 3 of places we went this weel!
