Four of us had dinner last night on the recommendation of a colleague. We are from Naples and wanted to try something typical... we couldn't have made a better choice! A very kind and well-trained waiter, he was able to recommend an excellent local wine and was able to direct us in the best way for the courses. We tried the fried gnocchi and the fried polenta with lard as a starter, while the first courses were tagliatelle with meat sauce and pumpkin and sautéed tortelloni. Everything was superb, we had a great evening. The only "negative" note to justify the non-5 stars for the environment was the poor lighting for the tables outside. Highly recommended.

Ever since, by chance, I tasted fried sage, I've been going back every time I pass through Reggio... Everything was excellent and the staff were kind and attentive. Until next time!

Very characteristic old-fashioned tavern. starter with fried gnocco and cured meats: really good gnocchi, not too greasy and not at all heavy. trio of good and tasty cured meats. first courses with cappelletti in broth and tortelli with fried separately: cappelletti good but not exceptional while the broth is really tasty. tortelli average. Excellent stir-fried bread made by them much appreciated friendly and attentive service very fair prices.

Highly recommended! Excellent raw material cooked very well. Everything we ate was excellent. The 60 month old cheese amazed me! The staff is very kind and attentive.

Nice downtown area. Eating well. Friendly owners and waiters. The minus point because I don't like that we were forced to leave at times chosen (by them). The price for this could also be a little less expensive. Since they are certain to have the table seat more than several times a day. Given the times. 04/02/2024: In Reggio we have always looked for a place that gave the opportunity to eat the typical local delicacies. With Populista we found them. Cozy and colorful place, the friendly waiter is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We got all the choices on the fried gnocco and two chizzas one green pesto and one gnocco. The light, dry and very tasty fried food is delicious. Excellent cold cuts. The only flaw is that they all went out together and got cold. Sin. The wine is a very good prosecco. Excellent price quality.
