My family of three had a lovely lunch at Tabarin Osteria Popolare in Reggio Emilia. The restaurant is right in the historic center near the cathedral and the local market. It was completely full, and luckily my husband made a reservation for 2:00 pm or we would not have gotten a table. We started with a delicious local salumi (meat) tray served with warm bread. My son loved his carbonara, and my husband had tortellini in Parmigiano sauce, which was excellent. If you are visiting Reggio Emilia, I definitely recommend this spot. Great food and a lively local atmosphere.

I was passing through with my wife and we stopped for dinner at Tabarin. Everything was great: amazing giardiniera, superb cappelletti, and special Lambrusco.

Great hospitality and excellent products. I discovered this osteria by chance, and despite the late hour, I was allowed to dine. The staff was very welcoming, and the food was truly delicious. I'll gladly return.
