We sit down, water, gas and then the menu arrives. Not too many courses, better few and well done, I always say. The fat doesn't attract me, Paola would like something in broth, so much so, but my eye falls on a dish of seven types of tortelli: the mega tortellata... interesting. Paola just asks that there aren't any carbonara ones, which she doesn't like... no problem! We also take an appetizer each: seasonal flan for her and a platter of cold cuts with fried gnocco for me. Meanwhile, the wine has also arrived. I choose the house one, produced and bottled by the Alfredo Bertolani farm in Scandiano... Good! While we wait I look around, there are two rooms separated by large demijohns, a vat with a press for squeezing the grapes, hanging copper pots and pans... all old. The flan arrives, which Paola just shows me and says it's amazing. My cutting board has two pieces of grass, legendary, slices of local salami, coppa and ham... cut to the right thickness... I glimpsed a Berkel slicer on a pedestal... just let it work, and then a basket with 5 pieces of fried dumpling, very good... the historical legacy of the Duchy of Modena and Reggio could only lead to very similar foods... And while I wait for the first one to arrive, I take a trip to the bathroom... but it's fantastic! I return to the room happy, it takes very little to satisfy me... And after less than two minutes here is the dish I was waiting for with curiosity: the mega tortellata, as I said before, 14 tortelli, seven flavors divided two by two. I know traditional and pumpkin, good; cabbage was a surprise, I tasted sauerkraut; nettle, pungent, typical flavour; lambrusco, another surprise, very interesting, these, strange to say, are my wife's favorites, she, the one who doesn't drink red wine because she says it tastes like wine...; radicchio and gorgonzola, my favourites... in addition to the light bitterness of Treviso radicchio, the powerful sparkling of zola creeps in, a pleasure in the mouth; potatoes and leek, these are also good, but I don't understand why the pastry is so bright orange... in my opinion they used tomato paste in the dough, in my wife's opinion they used turmeric... when will I go back, because I will go back great, for the winter I absolutely have to go and try the mixed boiled meat, I will ask for clarification on the colour. I forgot, seasoned with butter with plenty of parmesan flan. The waiter arrives, very professional with a black apron, scares away my wife's dish and tries mine. Stop! We are at Scarpetta, the shoe is a must! An interesting note about the bread. They brought us some similar pair from Ferrara, except that with these you can shoe wonderfully, then there were some nice and soft cylinders, excellent to feel under your teeth. Desserts department, Paola gets an excellent trifle and I move straight to the coffee, which is excellent too! Final bill €86.50. Worth keeping an eye on!

Ero già stato qui da solo a pranzo. Ti confermo la buona qualità dei prodotti e del servizio. Questa volta ho provato cappelletti in brodo di cappone. Buono il ripieno, ed anche il brodo era ben eseguito,non troppo grasso e filtrato il Giusto. Unica nota dolente, un po' oltre la cottura ottimale.
