A truly fantastic place in Malcesine! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and we were particularly impressed by the meat specialties. The rustic ambiance and cozy outdoor area also contribute to a pleasant atmosphere.
The Speck Stube is especially ideal for families, as it has a large playground where children can run around and play to their hearts' content.
Our only slight reservation is the self-service concept. Personally, we would have preferred traditional table service. However, this is a matter of taste and will certainly suit the relaxed character of the restaurant for many.
Overall, we highly recommend it – especially because of the great food, the relaxed atmosphere, and the fantastic playground!

I go there often when I'm in Malcesine. It's a very nice place and the food is good. I always order the sausages, and they're always excellent. It's a bit far, but it's worth it. They often have great live music. Highly recommended.
A beer garden like in Germany, clean and well-maintained. But of course, you have to like that sort of thing in Italy.

After years of eating there, I have to say I was a bit disappointed: at 9 pm they didn't have any chicken or even shanks... and the place wasn't crowded; it was August a few days ago. The sausages weren't good; they used to be much better. We left them. I think the bill was expensive for what was offered. The minimum cost for a dish was 15 euros, even if it was plentiful... for 4 people, it would cost around 100 euros.

Fantastic place. You can sit wherever you want and stay as long as you want. Spectacular ribs and shank, super beer. And then you're surrounded by greenery with so much tranquility.

Honestly, Italian and Bavarian cuisine don't mix. The chicken was okay, but really tiny for 12 euros, and the potato salad tasted like it was store-bought... we won't be coming back.
