Spaghetteria Do Scogghiu In Siracusa

Sentado fuera después de un breve 5 minutos de espera para una mesa - el servicio era lento (para los estadounidenses) y por lo tanto perfecto. Excelente marisco y un poco de vino tinto local muy agradable. Definitivamente recomendable.

Decent food, somewhat inattentive staff

I would have liked to give all 5 stars but unfortunately something really disturbed me during dinner... The owner/chef is a wonderful person who has a very good team and is now very dedicated to his customers, in fact we had the opportunity to chat a lot... On his advice we took the two dishes of the day...and so we took a plate of spaghetti with grouper sauce and a typical spaghetti with fennel and sardines Palermo style, both dishes executed exceptionally...as a second course with fried shrimp and rings ...and here comes the disappointment...it's okay that on the menu it specifies that they are frozen products (which in a seaside place I can't imagine) but seeing tiny rings and prawns as well...nooo...at least some prawns frozen and some decent rings since you charge €18 for the dish...I'm sorry I don't have the photo but I was on the phone at the time Anyway, having said this, I thank you for offering the coffee and I renew my compliments for the two first courses... obviously I recommend going to eat in this restaurant for the service, food and location

Typical trattoria in the heart of Ortigia. Very friendly and helpful staff. We ate grilled sea bream and roast veal with fried potatoes, I would say excellent. The bill was also right for the quantity and quality of the dinner. Very well-kept and welcoming location.

Sicilian orange salad was very good, as was the pasta alla norma, however my spaghetti siracusana was completely inedible, so salty. Server, who was otherwise good, didn’t really care when I told him.
