Spaghetteria Do Scogghiu In Siracusa

Very good food and excellent service

We went to this place for dinner for two. The interior is charming, resembling a piazza, and it's always very Neapolitan in style. The waiter was very rushed, so I asked for a minute to order because we hadn't even had time to sit down. He had already come over to ask if we'd decided. I ordered a raw fish appetizer, so I was expecting a varied dish. I'll add a photo so you can see what the dish looked like. I put down my fork to take the last bite, and the waiter quickly cleared my plate. While I was deciding whether or not to have dessert, there was a spoon left on the table unused, and I, though completely wrong, had fiddled with it. The waiter, without asking, took it and put it back in the drawer at the counter among the clean things, and nothing stopped my craving for dessert.

Fast service, tasty food. Only free bread was a little disappointing.

Recommended by my taxi driver. This is a great place that offers authentic Sicilian dishes! We had Pasta and grill seafood dishes and they were impressive, tasty, fresh and best that we had during our trip around Sicily.

How wonderful. I've erased the design from the crockery by scraping it with bread. I'm staying here.

We're back in Ortigia for the 3rd time! Many changes to the area, but the food at Do Scogghiu can't be beat! Make your reservation online. Food & true original recipes are wonderful!!! We've eaten at Do Scogghiu both times we have gone to Ortigia. The food is wonderful! Fresh & full of flavor! The owner & staff were accommodating & friendly. We will go back!
