Today, among other things, I'd promised myself I wouldn't eat meat, so I wasn't in the best position to test out this place that arose from the ashes of a butcher shop... The fact that homemade pastrami was on the menu convinced me to go in. The two of us ordered: pastrami, puntarelle salad, and onion soup. The pastrami was good, but I didn't like the combination of crème fraîche and fermented red cabbage it was served with. Personal taste, eh? The puntarelle were decent, but the onion soup, although served according to the rules, was sour and we sent it back to the kitchen. The owner apologized and offered us a portion of homemade apple pie, but the fact remains that the soup wasn't even worth serving because it had gone bad. It can happen, but if the dishes are tasted in the kitchen, at least they don't end up in the dining room. The wines were good. The service and atmosphere were simple but pleasant.

I've been here several times. The place is always lovely. The menu is excellent, with traditional dishes that are hard to find these days, including some unusual cuts of meat. Great restaurant, very friendly service, and fantastic food. We had a delicious antipasti platter, donkey rib and neck, as well as two homemade slices of cake for dessert and a bottle of wine.
