The intimate setting creates an incredible atmosphere. We chose the charcuterie and cheese platters and the lamb tartare (very delicate), accompanied by a red wine chosen by the owner. Dessert was a very delicate strawberry mascarpone. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the dishes. P.S.: Excellent wine selection, and advance reservations are essential.

03/05/2026: Modena's historic market. If you Google "things to see in Modena," after the Ferrari Museum, this market will pop up. A market where you can find any food (and only food), along with small restaurants stacked one above the other, where you can eat face-to-face with other diners. So if you're looking for privacy, look elsewhere. Almost all of them offer Emilian cuisine, so a wide variety of pastas and classic main courses. I recommend it as a stop; you won't find the chaos of Ballarò, but you'll find a very authentic atmosphere. The only downside is the wait; if you can get there before lunchtime, you'll be able to eat in a decent amount of time; otherwise, you'll need a lot of patience and a lot of thought. I don't think you can book. The prices are typical for an "average" restaurant. Recommended.
02/05/2026: Market in the center of Modena. Very lively, with a number of very nice restaurants. The food is excellent. Highly recommended.

08/03/2026: The pizzas are delicious (I added pepperoni to my diavola, as suggested. It's amazing)! And the desserts...are excellent!
06/03/2026: The best meals we had during this stay. The ladies were incredibly friendly and kind, always available for a chat. Especially the lady (who, from what I understand, is the daughter of the original owners), who also recommended where to buy good dairy products in the area. The food was truly impeccable: crescentine like I'd never tasted before, accompanied by spectacular cured meats, but above all, the PECORINO. The latter was divine, so much so that I had to ask where it came from to buy at least a couple of wheels. On top of that, I had the opportunity to try the passatelli with truffle (on my second visit), which, honestly, was the best dish I had during my entire stay. What can I say, it will be a must-try on my travels from now on!
