The pizza was good; you could tell the ingredients were high-quality. The flavors on the menu were original without being "odd." I took one star off the food because the pizza arrived lukewarm. Three stars for the service, due to the indifferent waitress who served us and the fact that the pizzas arrived very staggered (there were eight of us, which is understandable, but the first person served had already finished by the time the last one arrived). Three stars for the atmosphere because the bathroom was clogged and the place was overly crowded.

Delicious… I eat a lot of pizzas, and I have to say this is one of the best. We stumbled upon it by chance, and it was worth it. I hope they continue with their zero-mile and organic concept… Highly recommended.

Hands down the best pizza we had in Rome and Florence — so fresh, so delicious. The organic Coca-Cola was a lovely surprise, and the warm, smiling staff gave us the most perfect night in Florence ✨🍕

Stoped in for late afternoon snack ahead of late night reservation at another restaurant. Took 30 minutes to get bruschetta — and only after asking about its status. Door would not close and staff seemed confused as to how to seek a resolution. Waiter was absent minded. The food was good.

We visited Local in September on a recommendation. The pizza and bruschetta were delicious. If you're looking for pasta, you'll find it across the street.

The place has a slightly rustic look but is very well maintained. The exposed whitewashed walls are appreciated. A bit cramped for the number of seats available. The courtesy and speed of service were impeccable, as were the quality of the dishes. Recommended.

10/03/2026: A truly wonderful experience from the second you walk through the door. The staff are professionals with a sense of humor. The food is amazing! Our next time visiting Florence, we will be definitely returning.
03/03/2026: Beautiful atmosphere with lighting. Service was excellent and we had much attention from our server and assistants. . The food was excellent . The restaurant sent us an appertivo platter gratis with multiple small bites- bruschetta, liver pate etc all delicious.

Caffe Letterario Le Murate

13/05/2026: I'm a frequent customer at the literary café, where I've always been greeted with a smile and warmth, and the food and service are good. Last night, however, I witnessed the owner yell at the staff, perhaps to force them to take their holidays. It was very unpleasant for me, as a customer, to witness this completely inappropriate scene. The pleasant evening turned tense. Issues like these are best discussed behind closed doors!
10/05/2026: Caffè Letterario is located inside the renovated Le Murate prison. It offers indoor and outdoor spaces for lunch, dinner, aperitifs, live music, and events such as book presentations. Both a restaurant and a pizzeria, this place serves good food, especially with its now rare, generous, and carefully prepared aperitif buffet. The female staff is always available to offer attentive service and satisfy customers. Finally, it's easily accessible thanks to its proximity to the Sant'Ambrogio parking lot. In short, a lively, modern, metropolitan, cultural, and versatile venue in this "sleepy" Florence, overflowing with similarly sized venues.
